The Hawks put a hurting on the Wings. Center Joey Reiss with a two goal game. Rob “Rickie” Middleton, John Shelton, Timmy “Dutch” Schultz(A Beautiful Backhand Rebound Goal) and sub Chas Kipp round out the Hawks scoring. “Angry” Joey Ventimiglia scores for the Wings on a top shelf laser. The league welcomes back Hawks defenseman Putt – who has been on the D.L. with numerous maladies.
SHARKS 7 FLYERS 2
Center Donnie Rivera with the trick as the Sharks rout the Flyers. Rivera’s second goal was a thing of beauty, as he totally undressed Flyers defenseman Danny Rea(Still looking for his jock strap) and then went backhand top shelf water bottle on goalie Billy Schaugg! Schaugg said: “Sorry Curt – but that’s the best backhand I have ever seen!” “Midtown” Mikey Brown with two goals. Singles for the Scotts – Leslie and sub Davenport. Jeff Ivory with the hat trick assist. You gotta love Sharks goalie Billy Mac Jr., as he does backward cross overs behind his own net and then rifles a 70 foot breakaway pass! You won’t see many goalies capable of that feat at any level! Mike Riddle with both Flyers tallies.
BRUINS 5 SHARKS 1
The Bruins halt the Sharks three game season opening winning streak, behind the two goal game of Providence call up John Cornish. Mike “King Of The Road” Miller, John McNeilly and Eddie Sudzina also score. Goaler “Smoking” Joe Polizzi was outstanding in nets for the Bruins. Who else? The red hot Donnie Rivera with the “lone Sharks” goal.

This solid Hawks team sweeps for the day! Joey Reiss, Steve “Mario” Lemieux, Lloyd Rogers and defenseman Hastings tally for Hawks. Goaler Kirk “Captain America” Larson with another light workload game. Larson was seen doing laps in the parking lot following the game to work up a sweat! James Puffer with the Habs goal.
FLYERS 6 WINGS 4
The Flyers score three late final period goals to steal a W away from the Wings, who have now dropped three games in a row. Mike Riddle with the deuce for the Flyers. Singles for the Flyers Italian connection – Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi, Danny Rea, Lenny Gerbino and Mike Nalepa(Also 3 helpers). Wings – Ray Tonelli(2), “Angry” Joey Ventimiglia and Curt Lesnau.
