FLYERS 6 WINGS 2
The Flyers dominate the Wings from start to finish. “Party” Pete Kaczmarek with the deuce for the Flyers. Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi with a backhand rebound goal, Mike Riddle and subs Kyle Lybecker and Wings killer Bob Rowling round out the Flyers scoring. Brian Moore and sub Scott Bozak tally for the Wings, who were minus their regular goalie and spiritual catalyst today – Muddy. The ageless one – could not remember where he put his walker – so he was confined to his house!
SHARKS 6 BRUINS 1
Nate who? Mr. Scott Davenport, subbing for top rated forward Nate McCoughtry, with a huge four goal game! Jeff Ivory also with a Shark goal. Sub Chris Isola with three helpers. Some said it would’t happen – but it did in this game! After starting the season with 9 consecutive goals and not one single assist – Donnie Rivera picks up his first assist of the year! Way to go Donnie! Was it a rebound? Probably! Captain Rex Baker with the lone Bruin goal.
HAWKS 6 HABS 3
Rob “Rickie” Middleton leads the Hawks with a two goal game. Singles for John “Shifty” Shelton, Brian Reath, Steve “Mario” Lemieux and the best fifth round pick in the draft – Ward Peterson. Bryan Prentice, Jack Prioux and scoring on a knuckleball shot – Mike T. Brown score for the Habs. Subs Rob Duff and Chodun get into a little tiff and both hit the box with unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
BRUINS 6 FLYERS 6
The Flyers relinquish a 6-2 lead, as the Bruins tie the game up with just 20 seconds left. John McNeilly with the tying goal for the Bruins. Mike “King of the Road” Miller and Marty Papesh with deuces wild. Sub “Vin” Scully also with a Bruins marker. Fellow sub Chas Kipp with a 3 assist game. Mr. Bob Rowling with a 4 goal game for the Flyers. “The Baron” Kurt Von Mach and sub Billy “The Kid” Szkodzinski with singles. The Kid was actually making like Adam Oats today and passing the puck at will.
HAWKS 4 SHARKS 0
The top spot Hawks and smiling goalie Kirk “Captain America” Larson shutout the ever dangerous Sharks. John Shelton and Rockford call up Chodun with two goals apiece in this penalty free game. Their were no Shark sightings in this game.
WINGS 4 HABS 3
The battle for the cellar! The Frenchmen remain winless in their past five games, as the Wings come back from a final period 3-2 deficit to eke out the W. Ryan Boyette, Brian Moore, “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and sub Scott Bozak score for the Wings. Sub goaltender Mark Luscki was simply outstanding in nets, highlighted by his stopping of a 4 on 1! Bryan Prentice, John Siterlet and sub Rob Duff score for the Habs, who lost defenseman Jim Puffer during the game to what looks like a very serious ankle injury. The Frenchmen were also without top defenseman Pierre Dugas for a second week. It is rumored Pierre is holding out in attempt to force a trade.
