The Flyers totally dominate the first period and jump out to a 4-1 lead, only to see the Habs score with their goalie pulled, to make this game a close one! Mike T. Brown with a two goal game. His first goal was a baseball style batted puck out of the air into the net! Nice hand-eye! Brian Moore and after intercepting an errant defensive zone Habs pass – Pat “The Beast” Wosek blasts a low slap shot for the remaining Bruins goals. Bryan Prentice, Nate McCoughtry and Al Pyc score for the Habs.
SHARKS 7 WINGS 5
Wings up 2-1 at the end the first period. Then the final period produces nine goals! Mr. Mike Riddle(4) and sub Scott Chodun(3) do all the Sharks goal scoring! Jeff Curran with the hat trick assist. “Midtown” Mikey Brown(3) and Rob Rowling(2) reciprocate for the Wings. Wings net-minder Scott “The Wall” French continually stoned Billy Mac Jr. and has the bruises to prove it! No trips to the sin bin for either squad.
FLYERS 2 SHARKS 2
A well played very fast up and down game! Both puck stoppers – Billy Schaugg and Kirk “Captain America” Larson with several outstanding saves! Da Sharks score twice in the first period and the Flyers do likewise in the final period. Mike Riddle and Billy Mac Jr. score for the Fish. Steve Bittner and Flyers sub “Vin” Scully with Flyers goals.
BRUINS 3 HABS 3
The Bruins fight back from a 3-0 deficit to gain the tie and are now undefeated in their last three doubleheaders! Just like game one – Bryan Prentice, Dr. Nate and Al Pyc score for the Frenchmen. John Cornish, Chuck Bowers and scoring on a 60 foot looping one hop shot – Jeff Funk round out the Bruins goals!
WINGS 5 HAWKS 3
The battle for the cellar! The Wings win their third game of the year behind the two goal game of Joey Reiss. Singles for Ryan Boyette, Mike Nalepa and Steve “Mario” Lemieux. Goaler Scott French stymies Hawks Captain John Shelton on two breakaways! One of them with the glove save as French shows the glove to Shelton! Disgusted with his lack of ice time in this game. Winger “Midtown” Mikey Brown leaves the locker room in prompt fashion! Guess the win didn’t matter! James Puffer, Steve Wink and John “Shifty” Shelton score for the Hawks as they lose by identical scores today, as they drop their third doubleheader in a row. It’s gotten so bad for the Hawks that Marty Papesh’s Mom gave up watching them. “I ain’t watching this stuff” she says! Dad showed up solo!
