NO CURTS CORNER NEXT WEEK!
HEADING SOUTH IN SEARCH OF THE PERFECT MOJITO!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
FLYERS 4 WINGS 2
The resurgent Keith Foucher says “Trick or Treat” as he records the hat trick for the Flyers! Halloween masks floated down from the stands and littered the ice! John Zuccarini with the game winning goal. Bob “Bugsy” Watson with both Wings markers in this penalty free game.
HABS 3 HAWKS 0
Laval call up Paul Kaczmarek spins the whitewash for the Frenchmen. Steve Orr, Mike Ala and sub Harke tally for the Habs. No highlights for the sub laden Hawks, as they play with five subs today.
SHARKS 3 BRUINS 3
Randy Debuel ties the game up for the Bruins with the goalie pulled, in this exciting Halloween foray! Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan and John Perini also score for the men in yellow. Adhering to his son’s hockey advice – Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich is having a breakout season, as he continues to fill the net with a deuce in this game! Steve’s second goal was scored shorthanded. Joe Plati with the Sharks final marker.
FLYERS 3 BRUINS 1
The top spot Flyers are now pulling away from the rest of the pack, as they remain undefeated in their past five contests! Sub Lawson with the deuce. Big Ben Haynes also with a Flyers goal. Pucks stopper Mike Schlimgen was outstanding between the pipes. Penalty minute leader Chris Zanke with the Bruins lone goal and of course, a body checking minor penalty!
WINGS 5 HABS 2
John “Hal” McRae and Al Pyc score 35 seconds apart in the first period, to send the Wings to the W. Sniper Ronnie Meltsner and one of my all-time favorite hockey players – Parker “You Can Call Me” Johnson round out the Wings scoring. Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins and as in game one – Mike Ala tally for the Habs.
HAWKS 3 SHARKS 1
1-0 Sharks entering the final period on a Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins goal. Then Hawks sub Rick Batchelder scores his first of two goals and 44 seconds later, power forward Peter Gibb finds the back of the net for the Hawks. Hawks sub net-minder Rick “Ticker” Chauvin was stellar in nets! Sharks goaler Brian Miller picks up a holding minor penalty.
