LAST THURDAY AT JOE KOOLS!
SHUT DOWN FOR THREE MONTHS FOR RENOVATION.
WHERE DO WE GO?
FLYERS 3 HABS 2
The Flyers score twice in the first minute of the final period to defeat the Habs. Mike Folster, Marcel Dimitri and sub Rob Duff score for the Flyers. Net-minder Kirk Larson with a very solid game in nets. Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi and sub “Dave” Bergman with the Habs goals. Billy Schuagg was spectacular in nets for the Habs in a losing effort!
BRUINS 5 HAWKS 3
Bruins goaler Dar is so enamored by being a Bruin this season – he went out and purchased a brand new corvette in Bruins colors! What a guy! The Bruins snap the Hawks four game winning streak behind the hat trick efforts of sub Greg Kalvin. Mike Garlick and Curt Lesnau with singles. Hawks subs Sammy Antonucci and left winger Howard Smith(2) score for the Hawks. Smith scored twice, but could have had at least three more, as he was a prescene around the net all game!
SHARKS 2 WINGS 1
The Sharks snap their eight game winless streak as they finally have their whole squad intact today! Billy Mac Jr. and with the final period game winning goal – Mike Riddle score for the Fish. Goaltender Scott French was outstanding between the pipes! Winger Steve Bayagich with the lone Wings marker.
SHARKS 2 FLYERS 1
Hmm! Whats going on here? After allowing roughly seven goals a game this season, the Sharks win by another 2-1 score! Excellent defense and goaltending abound again for the Sharks. Donnie Riviera and once again with the final period game winning goal – Mike Riddle score for the Sharks. Mike T. Brown with the Flyers marker.
BRUINS 4 HABS 4
The Habs roar back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the top spot Bruins! According to the Bruins goalie, the turning point and the reason why the Bruins tied, was the failed three on oh, where Curt Lesnau took the shot instead of passing! Saw an opening – went for it! Habs net-minder Billy Schaugg with several outstanding saves once again! Stretch pass aficionado Robbie Olmstead with a two goal game. Singles for sub Bergman and playing an outstanding game and all over the ice – defenseman Lloyd Rogers. As in game one, Bruins sub Greg Calvin with the trick. Fellow center John McNeilly with a single.
WINGS 7 HAWKS 5
Marty Papesh scores 14 ticks into the game for the Hawks, only to see the Wings prevail. Deuces wild for Steve Bayagich and Mike “Padre” Nalepa of the Wings. Singles for Paul Violassi, Ryan Boyette and young Chad Wooten. Lenny Gerbino, JP and the fired up Sammy Antonucci(2) with the remaining Hawks goals. Antonucci picks up a minor unsportsmanlike conduct penalty while yapping on the bench!
