HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

BRUINS   4   SHARKS  1

One of the truly good guys in hockey – Rick Batchelder scores his second goal of the first period at the buzzer.  Then Jimmy George and Dave Wargo add goals in the final period, to send the Bruins to the W.  Goaler Mike Moystn with his usual strong game.  Big Ben Haynes was the only Shark to solve Mr. Mostyn.

FLYERS   3    WINGS   1

Feeling a little spry today – Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel scores twice in the first period for the Flyers.  Captain John Zuccarini factors in on all his teams goals with a 1 & 2 game.  Flyers sub puck stopper Paul Kaczmarek stood tall in nets.  Keith Foucher goes top shelf for the Wings in this penalty free game.

HAWKS   3    HABS   1

The Hawks score three unanswered final period goals to upend the Frenchmen.  Mark Smyth, Steve Orr and Mike Ala score for the Hawks.  Goaler Bobby Rutkoske was outstanding in nets for the Hawks.  John Perini with the lone Habs marker.  No trips to the sin for either squad.

BRUINS   6   FLYERS   4

The Bruins receive goals from six different players as they sweep for the day and are undefeated in their past five contests.  Bruins – Tom “Counselor” McHugh, Chuck Mouraine, Adam Godard, Dave Wargo, Mike Harke and Jimmy George.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell, Bruce Gooel, Bob “Bugsy” Watson and John Zuccarini tally for the Flyers.

HAWKS   4    SHARKS   1

The Hawks sweep for the day behind the excellent play of net-minder Bobby Rutkoske.  Returning from the DL from an upper body injury – Al Pyc with the deuce.  Singles for Mike Ala and Steve Orr.  As in game one – Ben Haynes with the lone Shark goal.  A rarity occurred in this game as two unlikely participants engaged in a set too, with both receiving roughing minor penalties.  Steve Orr and David Walters.  Both players had to introduce themselves to Lori the scorekeeper, as they normally don’t cross the threshold of the sin bin.

HABS   5     WINGS   2

Moncton call up Lawson records the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen as halloween masks litter the ice.  Fellow sub Altherr and John Perini with singles.  Mike Lawson and Al Platt score for the Wings who drop a deuce today.
