BRUINS   11    FLYERS    2

Whoa!  The line of Mr. Brian Barker(6 & 1), Greg Stacey(2 & 4) and Rex Baker(1 & 7) set a new Michigan Sting record as their line combines for 21 points!  Pretty amazing!  John McNeilly with a two goal game.  Frank “Crash” Casali and sub Scott Bozyk score for the Flyers who were officially eliminated from Championship game contention.

WINGS   3    HABS   3

An up and down even contest as the score indicates.  Habs center Brian Moore ties the game up with just under five minutes left in the game.  Scott Mitchell and Paul Polizzi also score for the Habs.  The Paul’s – Erickson(2) and Violassi tally for the Wings.  Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi picks up a solo roughing minor infraction.

BRUINS   3     SHARKS    2

Playing their absolute best hockey of the season, the Bruins barely hold on for the W!  Brian Barker and subs Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel and “Mickey” Brantley put the Bruins up 3 zip.  Nate McNaughtry and sub Rob Aughe score in the final period to close the game to 3-2, only to see the dreaded curfew clock end the game a full three minutes early!  A minute into the game, Bruins Captain Rex Baker incurs a solo roughing minor penalty.

HABS  4    HAWKS   3

As it turns out, this game is a preview for next week’s Sam Cupp Championship game!  It should be a barn burner!  The Habs prevail despite the fact the Hawks desperately needed this game.  Zach Wagner with the deuce for the Habs.  Singles for Robbie Olmstead and Paul Polizzi.  Hawks – Chad Wooten, Joey Reiss and Dave Passwater.

HAWKS    4    FLYERS   1

Do or die time for the Hawks!  If they do not win this game – no game next week!  They do not disappoint the one person in attendance – Mr. Kalvin.  Son Greg with a two goal game.  Chad Wooten and Dave Passwater with singles.  Goaler Kirk “Captain America” Larson came up big!  Rob Rowling scores for the Flyers as they end their promising and disappointing playoff run.  No strangers to the penalty box, the Hawks Chad Wooten picks up a minor unsportsmanlike penalty and  Brendan Brosnan with body check and roughing minor penalties.

WINGS   7    SHARKS   2

The Sharks fold up like a cheap tent!  Playing the bottom two teams today, the Sharks only needed one point to play next week.  It didn’t happen!  The Wings dominate behind the two goal games of Craig Bastuba and Mike “Padre” Nalepa.  Singles for Terry Boyette(Also 3 Helpers), and the Paul’s – Erickson and Violassi.  Scott Chodun and sub Rob Aughe score for the Fish.
