Bruins forward Steve Lemieux was beside himself by the sudden turn of events and picks up a minor unsportsmanlike penalty. Robert E. Lee, Al Sparks and Bruce Gooel with the remainder of the Flyers markers. Steve Lemieux and Bruins sub Danny Perini also score for the Bruins.

A goaltenders battle, as Sir Kevin Beebe and the red hot Mike Schlimgen take turns swatting shots away! Marty Sell with the Habs goal. Paulie “Jay” Giles reciprocated in the first period for the Wings.

The Sharks jump out to a 3 zip first period lead and survive a 6 on 4 frenzied final minute of the game for the W! Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins, Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi and Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich do the honors for the Fish. Rob Halbhuber and with his first career Michigan Sting goal – Kenny Perko score for the Hawks. The Hawks Joe Plati takes offense to a Chris Zanke hold and chops him, as they both hit the box in tandem.
WINGS 7 BRUINS 1
The top spot Wings send the Bruins to a double dip defeat. JP with the deuce. Singles for Paulie Giles, Al Pyc, David “Anthony Mantha” Walters(Also 3 helpers) and subs Niecalek and “Scott” Mitchell. Goal-keep Mike Schlimgen has now allowed only three goals in his last four games! Way to go Mike! Mike “Cherry” Charison with the Bruins lone goal.
FLYERS 5 HAWKS 1
Complete domination as the Flyers sweep on the day! This Hawks team aspirations are dropping faster that the Times Square ball on New Years Eve, as they lose their second consecutive doubleheader! Robbie Porter with the deuce for the Flyers. His first goal was a top shelf blast from the far boards that the Hawks sub goalie had no chance on! Singles for Al Sparks, Ryan O’Rourke and sub Jim “Vin” Scully. Goalie Mike Allemon with a solid game between the pipes. Captain Billy Hagen with the Hawks goal in this penalty free game.
HABS 6 SHARKS 3
Rounding into shape and as quick as a hiccup – Mike Ala with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen. Singles for Donald Courtley, Kenneth Wilkins and Cam “Steam Boat” Lawrence. Marty Sell with the hat trick assist. Sharks sub Gary Szalanski with a two goal game. Eddie Higgins also with a goal. No trips to the sin bin for either team.
