Oh boy! Flyers sub “Mickey” Brantley banks in a shot off of a Bruins player with 55 seconds left in the game to tie it up 3-3. Then Rob Halbhuber scores with 29 ticks left on the arena clock for a stirring Bruins victory! Steve Lemieux(2) and Bob “Bugsy” Watson also score for the Bruins. Joe Plati with another Flyers bank shot off a Bruins player and Donald Courtley with a backhand rebound goal into a wide open yawning net round out the Flyers scoring.

Scoreless entering the final stanza. Chuck Mouraine, Ronnie Meltsner and Bo Altherr send the Wings out to a 3 zip lead. Dave Hekowitz with a cursory Habs goal in the final minute.

Power winger “Gentleman” Don Courtley snaps a 2-2 tie with four minutes left in the game for a Flyers W. Kevin Maguire and scoring on a penalty shot – Mike Ala with singles. Goaler Bobby Rutkoske had the glove hand working this game! As in game one – Mark Smyth and Jack Priauix score for the Hawks.

Wings winger Bo Altherr crashes the net and pounds in the rebound for the games tying goal. Chuck Mouraine with the Wings initial goal. Steve Lemieux and on a stone cold breakaway courtesy of a great Howard Smith pass, going backhand, Curt Lesnau score for the Bruins. Wings sub goalie Paul Kaczmarek and Bruins puck stopper “Ticker” Chauvin both with excellent games in nets!

Ouch! There was a feeding frenzy this game! The line of Gary Szalanski(2 & 2), Bruce Gooel(2 & 1) and Ben Haynes(3 Helpers) total ten points in the game to spur the onslaught. Sub Matt Lawson with a two goal game and Dad Mike with a single. Sharks goalie Mike Schlimgen with a seven save shutout. No Habs highlights in this penalty free game.
