IN MEMORY OF HOF GOALIE TONY ESPOSITO, WHO PASSED AWAY TUESDAY,  SEEN WITH MYSELF BELOW ON THE LEFT,  IN FLORIDA THREE YEARS AGO.
RIP TONY O!

HAWKS   9    HABS   2

It was a field day for these high flying Hawks!  Deuces wild for Zach Wagner and line-mate Robbie Olmstead(Also 3 Helpers).  Following the game, Robbie was wondering how Zach will function without “Dad” next season, as they are not on the same team!  Hmm!  Singles for Rob “Larry” Giroux, Scott Chodun, Greg Stacey and sub Mike T. Brown.  Goaler Billy Papciak with a 12 save game.  Richey Artymovich and sub “Archie” Montgomery tally for the Frenchmen in this lopsided defeat.

BRUINS   1   SHARKS   0

Notre Dame HS alumni Billy Schaugg spins the shutout with an outstanding game against the Sharks!  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglo with the breakaway game winner.  Just a side note.  I have never seen “Angry” NOT score on a breakaway!  This guy is money!  No red flags on the beach today, as there were no Shark sightings.

HABS   8    BRUINS   6

What happened here!  The Frenchmen wake up from their season long slumber and slay the Bruins with seven – count em – seven final period goals!  Goals and penalty minute leader Rob Rowling with the tour du chapeau!  Appearing from Livingston County, sub Scott Bozyk with the deuce.  Singles for Richey Artmovich, Rob Hergott and one of my all-time favorite players – Danny Rea.  “Angry” Joe and Paul Vioalssi with two goal games for the Bruins.  Dougie Roehl and Brian Moore with singles.

HAWKS   8    SHARKS   3
It will be these high powered Hawks, who totaled 17 goals in today’s doubleheader, facing off against Bakers Bruins in two weeks for the Sam Cupp Championship!  It should be a barn burner!  Greg Stacey with the trick for the Hawks.  Deuces wild for Zach Wagner(Also 3 Helpers) and sub Mike T. Brown.  Mike Riddle also finds the back of the net.  Sharks – Steve Lemieux, power play specialist Marty Papesh and sub David Passwater.  Brendan Brosnan picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.
