HABS 3 HAWKS 3
The top line of the Hawks do all their scoring! Robbie Olmstead(2 & 1), Brian Moore(1 & 2) and Sting rookie Jordan Roberts(3 Helpers) have fun today. Mark Rogers of the Habs scores on his first two shifts of the final period. Habs sub Vandebosche with the game tying goal.
SHARKS 2 BRUINS 2
Dave Rupprecht and Ward Peterson put the Sharks up 2-0 after period one. Craig Bastuba and Glenn Howarth reciprocate in period two for the tie. Sharks goalie Billy Papciak and Bruins sub goalie Bissell both with excellent games between the pipes in this penalty free game.
WINGS 5 FLYERS 3
The Wings play their normal run and gun game for the W! Warren native Steve Bayagich with the deuce. Singles for Zach Wagner, Greg Stacey and sub Elsey. Terry Boyette with the hat trick assist. Subs Grzanka, Mike Ala and “Smiling” Scott Davenport score for the Flyers who sported five subs today.
WINGS 5 HABS 4
The Wings top line of Zach Wagner(3 & 2), Steve Bayagich(2 & 1) and the ageless and master facilitator Terry Boyette(4 Helpers), total 12 points in the game and factor in on all of it’s team’s scoring, for the top spot Wings. Duces wild for Mark Rogers and Rob Rowling of the Habs.
FLYERS 3 BRUINS 2
Flyers subs Mike Ala(2) and Grzanka light the lamp. Coming off his Port Huron tournament win, goalie Gordy Nadolsky was outstanding in nets! Brian Hamlin and Mike Nalepa with the Bruins markers.
HAWKS 4 SHARKS 3
A well played entertaining game between two very good teams! Hawks sub Marcel Dimitri with two Hawks goals. A little history here, as I have played for years and many tournaments with Marcel’s Dad Dennis and Uncle Bobby! Dennis was a very good center and Uncle Bobby a very good goalie! You can read about both of them in my book LEGENDS OF BEER-LEAGUE HOCKEY on Amazon. Little plug – Ha Ha! Singles for line-mates Brian Moore and Jordan Roberts. Fellow line-mate Robbie Olmstead with the hat trick assist. Goaler “Smoking” Joe Polizzi was stellar in nets! Having a fine breakout season, Ward Peterson scores twice for the Fish. Nate McNaughtry with their final tally.
