Wow! Talk about an epic game! You could just see Sam Cupp looking down with a huge smile on his face! 4-4 tie at the end of regulation. Same score after a five minute 5 on 5 OT. The Habs had to kill almost a full two minute penalty at the end of OT to sub Barker, who was a called on a marginal slashing call. Now we go to a five man shootout. But – there’s a little twist added to it, as the Habs top player Barker ended the OT in the box and is ineligible to shoot in the OT! Not good for the Frenchmen! The shootout goes 14 players deep as it wraps around on the shooters again. Shooter number 14, Pat “The Beast” Wosek with the game winning goal! Teammates Paul ‘The Stork” Erikson scores twice in the shootout as Craig Maisonneuve and Joey Reiss also score. Game MVP and Purdue basketball Matt Painter(See Picture Below) lookalike Joey Reiss also had two goals in regulation play. Zach Wagner scores once in regulation and the shootout for the Wings. Steve Lemieux and the 75 year old’s Terry Boyette and defenseman Kenny Schaeffler also with shootout goals. Greg Stacy, Kenny Kluz and Rob Montgomery with Habs regulation goals. The Wings top gun Rob Rowling was on vacation with Brian Moore in Arizona watching the game on LiveBarn! A very special thanks go out to Habs player Mark Rogers, who left his credit card on the table at Joe Kools and us players who stayed a little later, were able to take advantage of a few sprinkling of the infields!
