“Smoking” Joe Polizzi had the glove hand working this game, as he blanks the high powered Flyers! Sting rookies Chris Robillard(2) and Jim “Reggie” Robie do the scoring for Baker’s Bruins. No Flyers highlights.

HABS 4 WINGS 1
Habs sub Olmstead and “Angry” Joe score on the games first two shifts and goaler Rodney Heid stands tall in the nets as the Habs defeat the Wings. Rob Hergott and Paul “Stork” Erickson also with French goals. Nate Wagner with the lone Wings marker.

HAWKS 8 SHARKS 0
Ouch! The Hawks unceremoniously snap the Sharks six game undefeated streak in grandiose fashion! Hawks goalie Billy Papciak with the whitewash. Scott Davenport with the hat trick! Deuces wild for Brian Moore and returning from a month long stint on the DL with a lower body injury – Paul Violassi. Rockford call up Pizzo with the Hawks initial goal a minute into the game. No red flags on the beach this game!

FLYERS 6 HAWKS 2
The first place Flyers recoup this game, as they score in a thirty second span at the four minute mark of the first period to defeat the Hawks. Trevor Wrobel with the trick! Singles for Danny Rea, Eddie Sudzina and Rich Artymovich. Goalie Steve Bissell with as excellent game in nets! Mike Riddle and Brian Moore tally for the Hawks.

WINGS 3 BRUINS 3
Bruins jump out to a 2-0 first period lead only to see the Wings answer back with two goals within a minute at the halfway mark of the first period. Chris Robillard, Rob Montgomery and Billy Reiss score for the Bruins. Terry Boyette and Sting rookies John Crisi and Chris Koehler with the Wings goals. Both goalies, Brian Miller of the Wings and Joe Polizzi of the Bruins with strong games in nets.

The Habs sweep on the day as they win their third straight game. Post game locker room, “Angry” Joe started a collection to extend Habs Captain’s Joey Reiss’s European vacation! See picture below taken in Italy. Habs – “Angry”, Joe Robillard, Charlie Eslinger and sub Olmstead. Zach Wagner(PP) and Mike Garlick both with unassisted goals for the Fish.
