BRUINS 6 FLYERS 3
The marquee game of the day! The Flyers absolutely needed to win this game to stay in contention for first place. Didn’t happen! The Bruins jump out to an early 2-0 lead in just over a minute into the game! Returning from his lengthy upper body injury – Jeff Tracy with the deuce. Returning from his own upper body injury – Steve Lemieux, Joe Plati, Chuck Mouraine, and on a beautiful wrap around goal – Doug Wargo with singles. Jimmy George with the deuce for the Flyers. Robert Stempian also with a Flyers goal. The Bruins Chuck Mouraine incurs a minor unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. The dunce of the day award goes to Al Phipps of the Bruins, who shows up today without his skates! A quick call to Mrs. Phipps quickly remedied the situation as Al didn’t miss a shift.
HABS 2 SHARKS 2
With the goalie pulled, Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins buries the game tying goal for the Habs! Mike Ala with the initial marker. Sharks sub Matt Lawson with both of their goals as the Sharks have now three goals in their last four games and are winless in their past eight games. Post game – Sharks defenseman Randy Debuel gives his team an inspiring win one for the Gipper impending playoff push talk! Season shutout leader Brian Miller of the Sharks and Rick “Ticker” Chauvin of the Habs with strong games in nets.
FLYERS 3 HAWKS 2
The leagues leading scorer Robert Stempain, Al Sparks and the leagues leader in assists – Pat “Crazy Legs” Barry score for the second place Flyers. Brian Belloli and subbing for his former team, sub Billy Hagen with Hawks goals. Flyers sub Rick Neilson with a solo roughing minor penalty.
BRUINS 0 WINGS 0
Dave Gaskey of the Wings and goals against leader Mike Schlimgen of the Bruins put on a goaltending clinic for the one person in attendance! As they have many times the season, the first place Bruins take 3 out of 4 points. No in-between for these Wings, as they ended up in first place in the first half and last place in the second half! What will the playoffs present?

Yep.
Victor Stanley Howe (November 2, 1929 – January 31, 2015) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right wing. He played 33 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers between 1951 and 1955. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1948 to 1957, was spent in various minor leagues. Howe’s brother, Gordie, and nephews Mark and Marty all played in the NHL as well; both Gordie and Mark are in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
