SHARKS   3    HABS   2

A nip and tuck game as Mike Nalepa scores the game winning Sharks goal!  Craig Bastuba and Waz Sarweh with first period goals three minutes apart.  Goalie “Smoking” Joe Polizzi had his vaunted glove hand working this game!  Billy Reiss and sub Mike Garlick reach the back of the net for the Habs in this penalty free game.

 HAWKS    6    FLYERS   4

Big Rob Rowling with a 3 & 2 game for the Hawks!  Swift Paul Elsey Jr. with the deuce.  Steve Wink with the game winning goal.  Trevor Wrobel goes twine twice for his Flyers.  Singles for Jamie Smith and sub Robillard.

BRUINS   8    WINGS   3

The Bruins run roughshod over the Wings!  This guy is just amazing!  Every week, if not almost every game, Nick Piccolo of the Bruins scores on the games first shift!  His first of three goals was at the 51 second mark of the opening puck drop.  Winger Ward Peterson with a big 2 & 3 game.  Returning from parts unknown – longtime Sting player, sub Jim Puffer, fellow sub Eleschner and Rex Baker also join the party.  Zach Wagner scores twice for the Wings.  Jim Roble with their initial goal.  This was a penalty free game.

HABS   3     FLYERS   3

Flyers go up 3-0 after period one with two goals from sub Chuck Bowers and a single from sub Robillard.  The Habs receive goals from Billy Reiss, Jeff Steiber and sub Mike Garlick.  Mike Krueger with the hat trick assist.  Both puck stoppers – Brian Miller and Kris Arthur with excellent games in nets!  Flyers captain Trevor Wrobel left the game in the final period due to a lower body injury.  Habs defenseman Pierre Dugas was ejected from the game halfway through the first period, for a five minute boarding and a game misconduct infraction.  Still in his hockey undergarments postgame and holding his third beverage, Pierre was lamenting something about, they took his tools away when they went to no-check hockey!

WINGS   5     SHARKS   3

The Wings capture their first W of the year, behind the two goal efforts of Zach Wagner and Jim Roble.  Dougie Roehl also with a goal.  Stalwart defenseman Kurt Salvatore with three helpers.  Mike “Claude” Akins scores twice for the Fish.  Craig Bastuba with their middle marker.

HAWKS   5     BRUINS   4

Deuces wild for Rob Rowling and Anthony Amato as the Hawks sweep on the day and recover from their DH loss of last week!  Steve Wink scores again for the Hawks.  Who else?  Nick Piccolo with the Bruins first goal.  But it took him four minutes into the game this time!  Rex Baker and subs Jim Puffer and Jimmy Deagan also with Bruins markers in this penalty free game.
