WITH A WEEK REMAINING IN THE PLAYOFFS, WE HAVE THE WINGS AND HAWKS TIED FOR FIRST

WITH THE BRUINS A POIINT BEHIND!

WEEK FOUR – PLAYOFFS

WINGS    7    FLYERS   6

A game of high magnitude as both teams were tied with the Bruins for the top spot entering today!  The Flyers had no answer for the Wagner boys as Zach and Emmett both record the trick!  Oh – and Joe Robbilard also scored.  Terry Boyette with the hat trick assist.  Mike Kennan lookalike(See Picture Below) Mike Riddle of the Flyers also with the trick!  Chris Robillard with the deuce.  Trevor Wrobel with the Flyers final goal.

HABS   4    SHARKS   3

The French guys play a great game and win their second game of the playoffs!  Billy Reiss scores twice for the Habs.  Singles for Nate McNaughtry and sub John Crisi.  Sub goalie Gordy Nadolsky with an excellent game in nets!  The La Familia connection of Mark Micolo and Anthony Amato score for the Sharks.  Ukrainian sub Teneyck with their middle marker.

HAWKS   5    BRUINS   5

Both squads score twice in the first period and three times in the final stanza.  Trevor Knight with a two goal game for the Hawks.  Singles for Jeff Funk, Robbie Olmstead and sub Kenny Kluz.  Center Brian Moore with three helpers.  Nick Piccolo scores twice for the Bruins.  Ron Nanney, Rob Rowling and sub Butch Erikson also with Bruins goals.

HAWKS   5    FLYERS   1

The Hawks dominate this contest behind the outstanding puck stopping efforts of goalie Greg “Bruce” Sutter!  Mike “Padre” Nalepa finds the back of the net twice for the victorious Hawks.  Brian Moore, Robbie Olmstead and Trevor Knight also score for the Hawks.  Trevor Wrobel with the lone Flyers goal, as their Championship game aspirations disappear with the double dip loss today.  Mike Riddle with a solo roughing minor infraction.

SHARKS   6    BRUINS   5

A very spirited affair as the spoiler Sharks put a crimp in the Bruins playoff run.  Deuces wild for Craig Bastuba and Anthony Amato of the Sharks.  Mark Micolo and Rob “The Full Monty” Montgomery also score.  Rob Rowling with the trick for his Bruins.  Ron Nanney and doing what he does best – score the first goal of the game – Nick Piccolo with Bruins markers.  Sharks sub Teneyck and Nick Piccolo hit the box in tandem with roughing minor penalties.  No stranger to the box – Bruins defenseman Brendan Brosnan with a solo roughing minor penalty.

HABS   5    WINGS   4

How bout that!  The Habs win their third game of the playoffs as they sweep in fine fashion today!  Defeating the high flying Wings no less and killing off three penalties to the Wings zero!  The Habs do all their scoring in period one and circle the wagons for the hard fought W!  Habs – Andy Farah, Jim Roble, “Downtown” Jimmy Brown, Billy Reiss and sub John Crisi.  The high flying Zach Wagner with another trick for the Wings.  Steve Bayagich with a five hole goal.  Emmett Wagner with three helpers.

Who was the last NHL goaltender to play every minute in every game for a season?

4,200 minutes in a 70 game schedule – amazing!
