FLYERS   3    BRUINS   1

The Bruins and goalie Mike Schlimgen play a good game against the formidable Flyers, as the Flyers prevail.  Flyers down one zip entering the final period, then shifty Sammy “The Bull” Bonanno goes twine twice!  Defenseman Bill Murdock with an empty net goal.  Bruins Captain Steve “Mario” Lemieux with their one goal.

WINGS   2    HABS   0

A goaltending battle between shutout winning goalie Bobby Rutkoske and Dave Gaskey of the Habs.  Scoreless entering the final stanza – then John Dooley bangs in a rebound for the Wings on the final period first shift.  Brian Belloli with the insurance goal.

SHARKS   2    HAWKS   0

Another two zip game, as Sharks goalie Brian Miller defies any Hawk to beat him!  They didn’t!  Captain Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich with both Sharks tallies.  No Hawks sightings in this penalty free game.

WINGS   4     BRUINS   2

The Wings sweep on the day behind the two goal effort of the venerable Al Pyc.  Paul Giles and sub Ken Debus with singles.  Mike Lawson with the hat trick assist.  Steve Lemieux and Dougie Roehl score for the declawed Bruins, who have only scored 13 goals in the ten games played in this young season, leading to a league worst 1-9 record amid getting blanked three times thus far.  Long time suffering Bruin and gentle giant Dougie Roehl, is starting to exhibit some frustration, as he incurs a solo roughing minor penalty.

FLYERS   2    HAWKS   2

This was an extremely entertaining contest as Billy Hagen and Dave Debrincat put the Hawks up 2-0 entering the final period.  Then the Flyers Kevin Maguire scores on the final period’s first shift only to be followed by a late game tying goal from Captain Ryan O’Rourke.  Hawks goalie Allen Clark put on an outstanding show in nets!

SHARKS   5     HABS   4

Another entertaining game of the shootout variety.  The Fish extend their winning streak to three games and the Frenchmen go in the opposite direction as they drop their fourth straight.  Big Ben Haynes finds the back of the net twice for the Sharks.  Singles for Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins, Dr. Keri Topouzian and Robert Stempian.  Montcon call up Larry “School Boy” Rowe scores twice for the Habs.  Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins and Bob “Bugsy” Watson with singles.  This was a penalty free game.
