MY SUNDAY NIGHT HAZEL PARK LEAGUE.

ZAMBONI DRIVER SNAFU!

GAME STARTED 45 MINUTES LATE!

WINGS   3     BRUINS   2

The WIngs play a great game led by two grizzled veterans who remained playing at a high level following last weekend’s 70 and over Port Huron’s Golden Eagles Stanley Keg(Pictured Below) tournament!  Terry “Pepper” Boyette(2 Goals) and puck stopper Dar were the stars of this game!  Ian Axworthy with the Wings initial goal.  Bruins Captain Rob Rowling with both of their markers.

HAWKS   4    FLYERS   1

1-1 entering the final stanza, then the Hawks take control.  Steve Wink, Mike T. Brown, Billy Reiss and sub Egrin with the Hawks goals.  Goaler Gordy Nadolsky was stellar in nets.  Born into a hockey family, guess where Gordy got his name?  Surprise?  He turns out to be a goalie – Lol!  Trevor Wrobel with the lone Flyers goal.

HABS   5    SHARKS   4

An extremely entertaining contest as the Sharks play a great game only to see the French guys roar back for the W!  Sharks were up 4-2 early in the final period and then the very formidable offensive Habs score three times in a three minute span for the victory!  One of my favorite players – Wisconsin native Nate McNaughtry with the games final two goals.  Singles for Steve Bayagich and Captain Joey Reiss.  Captain Mark Micolo scores twice for his Sharks.  Anthony Amato and sub Ken Debus also score.

SHARKS   5    WINGS   3

Another entertaining game as Anthony Amato leads the Sharks with a two goal game.  Singles for Rich Artmovich, Ward Peterson and Ryan Boyette.  Scott Chodun and subs Robillard and E. Wagner with the Wings markers.  The WIngs are still minus cataylst Captain Zach Wagner who is on extended paternity leave absence.

HAWKS   3     BRUINS   2

Goalie Gordy Nadolsky shines again for the Hawks as they sweep on the day!  Scott Kostesich, Marcel Dimitri and Mike Garlick with the Hawks goals.  Rob Rowling and Jeff Steiber tally for the men in yellow.  Normally the mind mannered Mike Garlick was just the opposite in an incident this game.  Disagreeing with a chopping penalty, he also picks up an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty, as his teammates kill it off the four minute penalty.

HABS   6     FLYERS   3

If you’re going to play the Habs, you better be ready to play an offensive game because these Frenchmen will light the lamp!  Joey Reiss with a two goal game for the Habs.  Singles for Jamie Smith(Also 3 Helpers), Nate McNaughtry(Also 3 Helpers), Jim Roble(SH) and Scott Leslie.  We have the hat trick of MIke’s scoring for the Flyers – Akins, Riddle and Nalepa!  Jim Roble of the Habs incurs a high sticking minor penalty and then as he is leaving the box voices his displeasure towards the referee and heads right back into the box with an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty.

After the Kansas Scouts moved to Colorado and became the Colorado Rockies, they were coached one season by what famous NHL coach?
