HABS   4     BRUINS   1

Behind the stalwart goaltending of Dave Gaskey, the French guys methodically dispatch the Bruins.  Bobby Watson, Kenny Wilkins, Mike Ala and Adam Godard reach the back of the net for the Habs.  Subbing for Bruins Captain Steve Lemieux  – Rob Aughe with their marker.

HAWKS   4     WINGS   1

1-1 entering the final stanza – then the Hawks rattle off three game clinching goals.  Hawks Captain Billy Hagen with the deuce.  Singles for Dan Bouzide and Joe Plati.  General Robert E. Lee with the Wings lone goal in this penalty free game.

SHARKS   5    FLYERS   3

The Sharks play a great game behind the acrobatic efforts of goalie Brian Miller!  Mike Krueger goes twine twice.  Eddie Higgins, Robert Stempian(Also 3 Helpers) and sub Todd Schurman with singles.  The best golfer in either league – Jimmy George with a two goal game for the Flyers.  Sub Brian “Bobby” Mercer with their middle marker.  For the second consecutive game, the Flyers pull their goalie and right defenseman Kevin Maguire rattle’s one off the post!  This was another penalty free game.

SHARKS   2     BRUINS   2

Scoreless entering the final period, as both goalies – Mike Schlimgen of the Bruins and Brian Miller of the Fish shine in nets!  Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins ties the game up with just under two minutes remaining on the rink two arena clock!  Robert Stempian with their first goal.  The Robs – Porter and sub Aughe score for the Bruins.

HAWKS   1     HABS   1

This was a barn burner!  Hawks up 1-0 midway through the final period, until Mike Ala ties the game up for the final 1-1 tie.  Hawks goalie Allen Clark vehemently argued the veracity of the goal and ends up with a minor unsportsmanlike infraction.  Paul Violassi with the Hawks first period goal.  Hats off to both puck stoppers – Clark of the Hawks and Dave Gaskey of the Habs!

FLYERS   5    WINGS   3

The Flyers receive goals from five different players and split on the day.  Flyers: Kevin Maguire(No Post this Time), Chuck Bowers, Ryan O’Rourke, Jimmy George and sub Larry “School Boy” Rowe – who has the best outdoor hockey rink in the area!  See Larry, his wife and the Sting’s own Trevor Thompson below.  MIke Lawson and subs Ken Debus and Hachigian score for the Wings who drop a deuce today.
