FLYERS 4 HABS 2
The Flyers and goalie Billy Papciak play a great game and defeat the Habs! Trevor Wrobel, Mike Riddle, Robbie Olmstead and sub Mrachina light the lamp for the Flyers. Jamie Smith and Jim Roble do likewise for the French guys.
HAWKS 5 SHARKS 2
The Hawks feast on Shark this game, as Billy Reiss records the trick! Center Brian Moore with two power play goals. Scott Kostesich with a four helper game! Puck stopper Gordy Nadolsky shined in nets! Shark Captain Mark Micolo with both of their goals.
WINGS 3 BRUINS 3
1-1 entering the final stanza and tied at games end. The Bruins were minus scoring machine and Captain Rob Rowling today as the Bruins sported four subs. Rob “The Full Monty” Montgomery ties the game up for the Bruins with a minute left in the game and the goalie pulled! Shane McKibben and sub Chris Ballach also with Bruins goals. Wings – Pat Wosek, Scott Chodun and sub Tyler Teneyck. Sub Chris Ballach and Pat “The Beast” Wosek both with roughing minor infractions and a few expletives to boot! Eastside Legend “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with a solo roughing minor penalty.
HABS 8 BRUINS 6
This was a wild one as the Habs persevere and outlast the Bruins. Deuces wild for Paul Elsey Jr., Jamie Smith(Also 4 Assists) and Steve Bayagich for the Habs. Jim Roble 1 & 3 and Joey Reiss also score. Officer Mr. Jeff Steiber with a huge four goal game for the Bruins! Sub Chris Ballach with a two goal game. Jim Roble of the Habs and sub Chris Ballach of the Bruins both receive minor roughing penalties and a trip to the sin bin.
WINGS 5 HAWKS 4
The Wings play a great game for the victory! Sub Chris Robillard scores twice for the Wings. Singles for fellow sub, brother Joe, Danny Rea and sub Chuck Bowers. Once again Brian Moore scores twice for the Hawks. Billy Reiss and Scott Kostesich with singles in a rare penalty free game today.
FLYERS 4 SHARKS 2
After a very trying regular season, who would have thunk these first place Flyers are still undefeated in the playoffs! The Flyers sweep today despite playing the final period with nine players. More on that later. Flyers sub Mrachina with a two goal game. As in game one – Robbie Olmstead and Trevor Wrobel with goals. Another stellar game for Flyers goalie Billy Papciak who is gearing up for Paczki Day next week, as his teammates indulged postgame on the new Paczki Cream Liqueur pictured below that he brought! Anthony Amato with both Sharks goals, as they drop a deuce today. Now to the fireworks! Trevor Wrobel of the Flyers and Anthony Amato both with first period roughing minor penalties. Three minutes later all hell broke loose, as the Flyers Mike Akins goes ballistic on a Sharks player – follow me here – with the following penalties – a 2 minute elbow, a 2 minute roughing, a 5 minute fighting and a 10 minute fighting, game misconduct! Oh and an early game exit. Outweighed by close to a 100 pounds Anthony Amato jumped in to save his teammate from the beating as he incurred a minor roughing penalty. Whoa!
