BRUINS   2   HABS   1

The Bruins and goalie Dave Gaskey play a great tight to the vest game for the W!  Mike Lawson and Bob “Bugsy” Watson tally for the Bruins.  Mike Ala with the lone Habs marker.

WINGS   4    HAWKS   2

The formidable Wings spread out the scoring as Paul Violassi, Dougie Roehl, Eddie Higgins and sub Matt Lawson all light the lamp.  Smiling all game – former Wings goalie last season – sub John Marchin was stellar between the pipes!  Billy Hagen and scoring in his third consecutive game – Bo Altherr tally for the Hawks.

FLYERS   6    SHARKS   3

Flyers have a field day this game as Sammy “The Bull” Bonanno and Chuck Bowers both with two goal games.  Singles for Dan Bouzide and Mike Fox.  Ben Haynes with the hat trick assist.  Robert Stempian, Doug Beck and Jimmy George with the Sharks markers.

HAWKS   3    HABS   3

A well played nip and tuck game as the score indicates.  “Gentleman” Don Courtley with the deuce for the Habs.  Mike Ala with their initial goal.  Todd Hachigan, Kenny Perko and Mark Smyth with the Hawks goals.

SHARKS   5    BRUINS   2

Five different Sharks light the lamp this game for the victory.  Robert Stempian, Doug “Jeff” Beck, Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich and subs John Zuccarini(Also 3 Helpers) and John “Magnum” Higgins do the honors.  Jimmy George with a three helper game.  Dave Speiss(PP) and the newly retired Steve Lemieux(SH) score for the Bruins.

WINGS   2    FLYERS   2

The Flyers play a great game against the top spot and still undefeated Wings, in this extremely entertaining contest!  Hats off to goalies Billy Papciak of the Flyers and sub “Sugar” John Marchin of the Wings.  The swift Paul Violassi with both Wings goals.  Sammy Bonnano and Windsor native – sub Rob Lee score for the Flyers.

Who replaced Eddie Giacomin as the Rangers number one goalie?
Hint – He is in the HOF.
