HABS 2 SHARKS 2
Habs sub “Downtown” Jimmy Brown scores his second goal of the game in the final period, to tie it up 2-2. The sub laden Sharks(5 Subs) receive goals from “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio and sub Cardonna. Both goalies – Dar and Gordie Nadolsky with excellent games in nets.
HAWKS 9 BRUINS 2
The Hawks ascend today as the Bruins dip in the other direction. It was a field day for the second place still undefeated Hawks! Young Zach Wagner with another hat trick game! Sub Rupprecht also with the trick. Singles for John McNeilly, Robbie Olmstead and Rob “Larry” Giroux. Mike “Padre” Nalepa and sub Jeff “Marine” Steiber score for the Bruins. Bruins defenseman Pat Wosek hooks Zach Wagner who takes exception and chops him back, as they both hit the box in tandem.
WINGS 5 SHARKS 4
This was a wild one! The first place undefeated Wings do all their scoring in the final stanza, as Mr. Rob Rowling breaks the 4-4 tie with his fourth goal of the game in penalty shot fashion! The undisciplined Sharks rack up seven penalties in the game! Paul Erickson also with a Wings goal. Sub Greg Stacey with a two goal game for the Fish. Singles for Mike Garlick and Brian Reath. Steve Wink of the Sharks takes verbal exception to his hooking penalty and includes an unsportsmanlike minor penalty to boot.
HABS 7 FLYERS 5
It’s a new season for these revitalized Frenchmen as they take three points on the day! The line of “Downtown” Jimmy Brown(3 & 2), Mark Rogers(2 & 2) and Steve Bayagich(1 & 1) total 11 points in the game! Jeff Curran of Heilman Field fame, also with a goal. Brian Moore with a deuce for the Flyers. Singles for Mike Riddle, Trevor Wrobel and Army vet Eddie Sudzina.
