CONGRATS TO THE 60A MICHIGAN STING WINDSOR TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!

HABS   6    BRUINS   1

2-1 French guys entering the final stanza – then the Habs rattle off four final period goals for the decisive W!  Goalkeeper “Smoking” Joe Polizzi had his glove hand working this game!  Deuces wild for Jamie Smith and Jim Roble.  Steve Bayagich and Marty Papesh with singles.  Rounding into playing shape after a rather lengthy hockey sabbatical – “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the Bruins goal.

HAWKS   3    WINGS   2

Shifty center Brian Moore with the first and final goals for the Hawks.  Billy Reiss with their middle marker.  Puck stopper Gordy Nadolsky with an excellent game in nets!  Paul Violassi and sub Chris Robillard score for the Wings.

SHARKS   8    FLYERS   5

This was a wild one!  5-4 Sharks entering the final period as they prevail with the victory.  Mark Micolo with the hat trick.  Rich Artymovich with the deuce.  Singles for Anthony Amato and subs Mark Rogers and Lance Kos.  Two goal games for Greg Stacey and playing against Dad – sub Mark MIcolo Jr. of the Flyers.  Mike Riddle with their initial goal.  This was a penalty free game.

BRUINS   7    SHARKS   3

Both squads split on the night.  John Cornish and Jimmy Brown with two goal games for the Bruins.  Singles for Rob Rowling, Larry “School Boy” Rowe and Rob Montgomery(PP).  Anthony Amato(PP), Rich Artymovich(SH) and sub Tim Vaneckoute(SH) score for the Fish, who made five trips to the sin bin this game and allowed two power play goals.  Rob Rowling of the Bruins and sub Ken Debus take turns cross checking each other and hit the box in tandem.

HAWKS  4    HABS   3

The first place Hawks go to 4-0 on the young season as they win their second one goal victory!  Another two goal game for Brian Moore of the Hawks.  Always fired up when he plays against his brother, after being shunned in the draft – Billy Reiss also with a two goal game.  Once again goalie Gordy Nadolsky with a strong game in nets!  Nate McNaughtry scores 41 ticks into the game for the Habs.  Paul Elsey Jr. with a two goal game for the Habs.

WINGS   6    FLYERS   4

The Wings win their first game of the season and keep the reeling Flyers 0-4 for the season.  Seemingly the theme of the night – Dave Rupprecht and sub Chris Robillard with two goal games for the Wings.  Brian Hamlin, Danny Rea and Scott Chodun with singles.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux scores twice for the Flyers.  Robbie Olmstead with a single and young sub Mark Micolo Jr. with a 1 & 3 game.
