Dougie Roehl with the Sharks first and game winning goal! Mike Akins and John Cornish also score. Sharks sub goalie Joe “Rickey” Nelson shined in nets! Joey Reiss with both Habs goals in this penalty free game.
HAWKS 4 FLYERS 1
Paul Elsey Jr. was flying this game, as he concludes his hat trick with an empty netter! Rockford call up Micolo also scores. Puck stopper extraordinaire Kris “King” Arthur was his usual solid self in nets! Mark Rogers with the lone Flyers marker.
BRUINS 6 WINGS 5
If you can’t stop em – out score em! This was the Bruins mantra this game and it worked, as they send the Wings to their first defeat of the season! The Bruins score three goals in a three minute first period span! Deuces wild for Jamie Smith and Mike Nalepa. Singles for Jeff Steiber and Mike Riddle. Zach Wagner scores twice for the Wings. Zach’s first goal was 55 ticks into the game. Singles for Steve Bayagich, Ryan Boyette and John Siedlik. Scott Choudn of the Wings and Rex Baker of the Bruins take turns chopping each other and hit the bin in tandem.
WINGS 5 SHARKS 3
A very good hockey game as the Wings prevail. Once again, Zach Wagner with a two goal game. Brother Nate, Craig Bastuba and Grand Rapids call up Mike Ala also with goals. Nick Piccolo, John Cornish and Nate McNaughtrty tally for the Fish.
FLYERS 6 HABS 1
Trevor Wrobel with the natural hat trick, as he completes his trick with the Flyers first three goals of the first period! The line of Wrobel(3 Goals), sub Kostesich(1 & 3) and Mark Rogers(1 & 4) total 12 points in the game. Rogers says to me post game: “Curt – I just try to slide the puck too the good guys!” Lehigh Valley call up Marcel Dimitrie also with a goal. Goaltender Dar with a light workload. Anthony Amato with the Habs goal, as it was very evident today that the Habs missed top gun Rob Rowling, who I assume is serving his suspension from last weeks tirade. The Frenchmen are still winless this season. This was a penalty free game.
HAWKS 7 BRUINS 1
These second place Hawks are clicking on all cylinders, as once again Paul Elsey Jr. records the trick! Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the deuce. Returning from his one week absence – John Poolton and sub Micolo with singles. Dave Rupprecht with the hat trick assist. Goalie Kris Arthur with another strong game in nets and an assist to boot! Jim Robie scores for the Bruins.
