SUBBING FOR THE WINGS, LONGTIME STING MEMBER BRENDAN BROSNAN DID NOT FEEL RIGHT AND WENT TO THE

HOSPITAL FOLLOWING GAME ONE, AT THE URGING OF TEAMMATES DAR AND TERRY BOYETTE, WHO BOTH HAVE SURVIVED A HEART ATTACK.

TURNS OUT THE WIDOW-MAKER IN HIS HEART WAS 100% BLOCKED!

BRUINS   3    FLYERS   0

The Bruins and goalie Kris “King” Arthur put on a sound defensive display of hockey, as they send the Flyers to their fifth straight defeat to start the young season.  Big guns Rob Rowling, “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and Jeff Steiber dent the twine for the Bruins.  No Flyers highlights.

3-2 Wings entering the final stanza and then they pour in four final period goals!  Pat “The Beast” Wosek and sub Keith Elsey both with two goal games.  Singles for Ian Axworthy, Dave Rupprecht and sub Joe Robillard.  Puck stopper Dar shined in nets!  Jim Roble and Scott Leslie with the Habs goals.  Jamie Smith of the Habs with a solo roughing minor penalty.

The Hawks enjoy a Shark dinner(See Picture Below) as Scott Kostesich records the natural hat trick!  Kurt Salvadore, Brian Moore and Mike T. Brown also score.  Goalie Gordy Nadolsky was excellent in nets!  John Siedlik and Anthony Amato tally for the Sharks in this penalty free game.

FLYERS   3     HAWKS   3

The marquee game of the night!  Billy Reiss of the Hawks scores with 34 seconds left in the game to tie it up 2-2!  Seven seconds later, Flyers sub Chris Robillard scores his second goal of the game to put the Flyers up 3-2, with 27 seconds left in the game!  Twenty seconds after that goal – prime time player Steve Wink ties the game up for the Hawks for the eventual tie with seven seconds remaining in the game!  Whoa!  Scott Kostesich with the undefeated first place Hawks initial goal.  Mike Riddle with the Flyers initial goal.  The still winless Flyers, abscond their first point of the season!

Apparently acclimating to life after Zach – the Wings play a great game and extend their winning streak to three games.  Hats off to the Godfather of Goaltending – Dar – who once again played a great game in nets!  Scott Chodun and subs Keith Elsey and Joe Robillard score for the Wings.  Rob Rowling and John Cornish tally for the Bruins.

Sharks up one zip entering the final period, only to see the flood gates open in the final stanza.  Captain Mark Micolo with the deuce for the Fish.  Singles for “Angry” Joe Ventimiglio, Ryan Boyette and Anthony Amato.  Jim Roble scores twice for the French guys, who drop their third straight game.  Jamie Smith with their final tally.
