Sharks up one zip entering the final period. Then the Habs rattle off three goals for the hard fought W! Brian Moore, Greg Stacy and with the game winning goal – home town Laval native Pierre Dugas. Kris “King” Arthur was outstanding between the pipes! Honing his youth hockey skills at the GPCR arena in Grosse Pointe – sub Dave Bergman with the lone Shark goal.
FLYERS 5 WINGS 3
Flyers down 2-1 entering the final stanza, then Amazon TV series star Jack Reacher lookalike(See Picture Below) Jamie Smith with the final period natural hat trick! Rob Montgomery and sub Keith Elsey also score. Zach Wagner goes twine twice for the Wings. Winger Steve Bayagich with the Wings initial goal in this penalty free game.
HAWKS 3 BRUINS 0
With his Pazcki vodka on ice in the locker room – goalie Billy Papciak with the well earned whitewash! Rob Rowling with a two goal game. Steve “With a Nod and a” Wink with the Hawks first marker. No Bruins highlights.
FLYERS 4 SHARKS 4
Sharks go up 4-3 with three minutes left in the contest. Flyers defenseman Ryan Boyette blasts in the game tying goal two minutes later for the tie! Subbing for Trevor Wrobel – Keith Elsey with the deuce. Scott Kosteich with a single. Sharks sub Dave Bergman scores twice. Nate McNaughty with a goal and three helpers. Sub Brendan Brosnan also scores in this penalty free game. Waz Sarweh with a three assist game.
HABS 1 BRUINS 0
The story for the Habs in both games today is the Carey Price like goaltending of Kris Arthur, who was simply outstanding today! The guy was on! Skating gingerly down the ice and looking a little like legend Guy Lafleur – Brian Moore with the lone goal for the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge who sweep on the day! The only setback for the Habs was the hamstring injury to Pat Wosek, who is most likely lost for the playoffs. The Habs practice their PK as they incur five penalties. Brian Moore was the recipient of the final three penalties. The hibernating Bruins fail to score in both games today. A very rare occurrence in this run and gun league! Hats off to Bruins goalie Gordy Nadolsky who also was excellent in nets!
HAWKS 4 WINGS 3
The Hawks sweep today behind the two goal effort of Anthony Amato. Paul Elsey Jr. and Mike Riddle with singles. As in game one – Zach Wagner with the deuce for the Wings. Jim Roble also scored. Despite the double dip loss today, it did not dampen the Wings postgame spirit as pictured below!
