WINGS 7 HAWKS 3
Scoring 48 ticks into the game, scoring two goals at regular strength, one shorthanded and one on a power play – this was the Mr. Zach Wagner show with a four goal game! Line-mate Steve Bayagich with a two goal game. Ken Kluz with a single. Centers Brian Moore(2) and Scott Chodun score for the Hawks.
BRUINS 5 HABS 4
Jeff “Marine” Steiber leads the Bruins with a two goal game. Mike Nalepa and subs Paul Elsey Jr. and Curt Lesnau also score. I know your wondering – No – Curt’s goal was not a backhand! Forehand high into the net! Captain Joey Reiss with the deuce. Pat Wosek and every time this guy touches the puck he is dangerous – Rob Bowling scores on a Rowling special – a 90 foot stretch pass!
SHARKS 4 FLYERS 1
Nate McNaughtry scores his team’s final two goals as the Sharks defeat the Flyers. Mike Garlick and sub Justin Brantley also with Sharks goals. Sub goaltender Bissell was excellent in nets! Trevor Wrobel with the lone Flyers marker.
WINGS 5 FLYERS 1
The Wings sweep on the day and retain their top spot position. Growing up in the shadows of Warren Cousino High School and one of nine siblings – Steve Bayagich with the trick! Zach Wagner and Robert Montgomery also score. As in game one – Trevor Wrobel scores the Flyers only goal as they are firmly entrenched in the final spot in the standings.
SHARKS 8 BRUINS 1
Whoa! The Sharks top line of Dr. Nate, setting a new Sting record with a 7 assist game, Mike Garkick(Hat Trick) and Scott Leslie(2 & 2) total 14 points in the game! David Rupprecht and subs Rob Aughe and Justin Brantley also join the scoring parade. Bruins sub Owen “Nolan” Townsend with a late shutout wrecking goal.
HABS 9 HAWKS 1
This is a story of making as much of your time as you can. Knowing he had to leave the game after the first period to catch his son’s district hockey game – Mr. Rob Rowling promptly just scores four first period goals and assists on another! Gotta love that! Oh – except if your on the Hawks! Deuces wild for the Joes – Reiss and Ventimiglio. Mark Rogers with a 1 & 4 game. Scott Choudun again scores for the Hawks.

Art Quarto, father of musicians Mike and Suzi Quarto.
Suzi actually appeared in a few Happy Days episodes.
I played hockey with Mike in the mid 70’s on Friday nights at Grosse Pointe Arena.
He was a trip! Showing up with his long shaggy brown hair, brown fur coat and his hockey equipment
in a regular suitcase!
