2025 LASALLE, ONTARIO 60 CHAMPIONS!

HABS   6     FLYERS   5

3-3 at the end of period one – then the Habs score one more time than the Flyers in the final period for the W.  Having a breakout year – Jim Roble with the tour du chapeau.  Nate McNaughtry with the deuce.  Jamie Smith with a single.  The Habs successfully killed off three final period penalties.  Deuces wild for John Bean and sub Tyler Teneyck of the Flyers.  Trevor Wrobel with their initial marker.

HAWKS   2    BRUINS   2

The battle for the top spot did not disappoint, as the contest ends in a draw.  Goalies Gordy Nadolsky of the Hawks and sub E. Miller of the Bruins both shine in nets.  John Cornish and Larry “School Boy” Rowe do the honors for the Bruins.  Waz Sarweh with both Hawks goals.

SHARKS   5    WINGS   4

This was a strange one.  The Sharks go up 5-0 after period one, thinking a rout of major proportions is in the works.  Nope!  The Wings almost claw all the way back!  Craig Bastuba leads the Sharks with two goals in the final three minutes of period one.  Singles for Ryan Boyette and the Micolo’s – Sr. and sub Jr. Sr. also with three helpers.  Wings – Dave Rupprecht, Scott Chodun and subs Chris Robillard(PP) and Joe Robillard.

HAWKS   7    WINGS   5

The Wings get involved in another strange one!  5-5 at the end of one!  There were so many stoppages in play, that there was worry of the curfew clock running out of time – Lol!  Deuces wild for Steve Wink and Waz Sarweh for the Hawks.  Singles for Billy Reiss(Also 3 Helpers) and subs B. Pyc and Fleschner.  Brian Moore with four assists.  Mike T. Brown with three assists.  Wings – Ian Axworthy, Paul Violassi, Pat Wosek, Dave Rupprecht and sub Chris Robillard.  The Wings have now dropped three straight.  Joe Robillard(2 Minute Elbowing and Roughing Penalties) gives Steve Wink(2 Minute Roughing) a major elbow and both players engage in unpleasantries.

BRUINS   4    HABS   3

A big W for the Bruins, as they now trail the top spot Hawks by a single point leading into the final week of the season next week.  Jim Bulgarelli, Jeff Steiber and the Robs – Rowling and Montgomery score for the Bruins who are 8-0-1 in their past nine games.  Sub goalie E. Miller with another strong game in nets.  Habs – Jamie Smith, Paul Elsey Jr. and Steve Bayagich.

SHARKS   5    FLYERS   2

Trevor Wrobel puts the Flyers up 2-1, scoring twice in the first period, only to see the Fish score four final period goals for the W and a sweep on the day!  Anthony Amato and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio both with two goal games.  “Angry’s” second goal was an absolute cannonading drive, mirroring his 45 MM Anti-Tank Howitzer he has at home.  This is no toy gun!  Pictured below is his actual Anti-Tank gun.  Mark Micolo with the game winning goal.  Sub puck stopper Parker was stellar in nets for the Sharks.

Which two Hall of Famers shared the Veniza Trophy in the 68-69 season?
