OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL SHOT GLASSES FOR MY

SUNDAY NIGHT HOCKEY TEAM AT HAZEL PARK!

U GOTTA LOVE IT!

IT WAS A RED LIGHT DISTRICT TODAY – WITH 53 PUCKS FINDING THE BACK OF THE NET!!

POSTGAME – THE ZAMBONI DRIVERS WERE DIRECTED TO CHECK THE TWINE ON ALL THE NETS!

SOLARCAINE WAS HALF OFF AT THE WALGREENS POSTGAME TONIGHT, FOR GOALIES ONLY!

BRUINS   9    WINGS   4

The Bruins run roughshod over the Wings!  Deuces wild for the Robs – Rowling(Also 3 Helpers) and Montgomery, Ron Nanney and sub “Hoot” McInerney.  Sub Fleshner also scored.  Dave Rupprecht and sub Joe Robillard each score twice for the Wings.  The penalty box was a revolving door, as eight penalties in all were called.

HAWKS   8    FLYERS   4

One team was flying this game!  Kurt Salvatore and Scott Kosteich with two goal games for the top spot Hawks.  Singles for Brian Moore(Also 4 Assists), Pierre Dugas, Mike T. Brown and Billy Reiss.  Flyers – Trevor Wrobel, John Bean and The Mikes – Nalepa and Akins.  Just maybe frustration is starting to show on this last place Flyers squad.  Early in the final period – perennial good guy, Greg Stacy picks up an elbowing penalty and voices his displeasure to the referee and also incurs a ten minute abusive language penalty and a two minute unsportsmanlike penalty and an early start on the postgame libations.

HABS   6    SHARKS   3

I just made up a new term!  Mr. Jim Roble with the Ultra Natural Hat Trick in the first period for the Habs, as he scores all of his team’s four goals!  Winger Steve Bayagich with a two goal game.  Paul Elsey Jr. with the Habs final marker.  Sharks – Craig Bastuba, “Angry” Joe and sub B. Pyc.  Remarkably, this was a penalty free game!

SHARKS   8    WINGS   3

The Sharks swim out to deep water and send the Wings to another lopsided loss!  The La Familia connection of Joey Ventimiglio(2), Anthony Amato(2 & 4) and Mark Micolo(1) have a field day!  Richey Artymovich and subs Mark Rogers and B. Pyc also score.  Wings – Scott Chodun, Dave Rupprecht and sub Chris Robillard.  Both teams with power play markers as five penalties in all were called in the game.

BRUINS   4    HAWKS   1

This was a wild one!  More on that later.  Larry “School Boy” Rowe and sub “Hoot” McInerney score power play goals for the victorious Bruins, who send the Hawks to just their second L of the season and sweep on the night!  Ron Nanney and Rob Rowling with singles.  Goalie Kris “King” Arthur with a fantastic game between the pipes!  Proving he can score against a team other than his brother’s Habs team, Billy Reiss with another goal on the night.  Now to the festivities.  In the first period, Pierre Dugas of the Hawks picks up an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty.  Here we go – 8 seconds later, Captain Rob Rowling of the Bruins incurs a roughing minor infraction along with a five minute head butting penalty and a ten minute head butting game misconduct penalty and an early game exit and a head start on the cooler!

HABS   7    FLYERS   1

Oh boy!  Things are getting ugly for these Flyers!  0-10-2 on the season so far, as blowouts abound!  The game was actually 2-1 Habs entering the final stanza – then all hell broke loose!  Jim Roble scores twice for the Habs and six on the night.  Singles for Jamie Smith(Also 3 Helpers), Paul Elsey Jr., Steve Bayagich and Nate McNaughtry.  Goaler Joe Polizzi with a ten save game.  As in game one – Captain Trevor Wrobel scores for his Flyers.

Who scored the final goal at Joe Louis Arena?

Hint – he was a Red Wing and it was his first two goals of the year!
