HABS 6 BRUINS 2
2-2 entering the final stanza and then the French guys rattle off four unanswered goals! Jeff “Marine” Steiber with the trick. Singles for Rich Artymovich, Nate McNaughtry and “Downtown” Jimmy Brown. Jim Roble with three helpers. Nick Piccolo with both Bruins goals. Bruins defenseman Brendan Brosnan with a solo roughing minor penalty. Likewise for Habs defenseman Lou “The Butcher” Suvak.
HAWKS 8 WINGS 5
As the word spreads – “Gotta out score em!” The Hawks deploy a 4-1 alignment and tell goalie Greg Sutter – “Your on your own baby!” The Hawks score six times in the games first seven minutes and send Wings goalie Dar repeatedly spewing expletives and food particles, as he skates into the corner after each goal. Ecstatic school is out – Everest Academy President Mr. MIke Nalepa with a huge five goal game! Sub Kenny Kluz with the deuce. Sub Rick Neilson of Cheap Trick strums in a goal. Sub J. Olmstead with a five assist game! The three Wagner boys on the same team this week, as Zach records the trick and Emmett and sub Nate score once for Wings.
FLYERS 3 SHARKS 2
A rare defensive battle in this run and gun league, as winning goalie Brian Miller and Chris Macdonald of the Sharks shine in nets! Young Flyers sub Carson Riddle with a two goal game. Mike T. Brown with the game winning goal. The cerebral Mary Papesh with both Sharks markers.
HABS 4 HAWKS 3
After losing nine straight, the rejuvenated Habs now sweep their second straight DH! Goalie Billy Papciak stood tall in nets with several outstanding saves! Nate McNaughtry, Jim Roble, Billy Reiss and sub Henderson score for the Habs. Hawks sub J. Olmstead scores twice and Mike Nalepa once.
FLYERS 5 WINGS 3
The battle for the top spot and the Flyers send a message to the Wings as the Wings drop a deuce today! Sub Carson Riddle goes twine twice for the Flyers. Singles for Dad Mike, Mike T. Brown and sub Abraham. As in game one – the Wagner boys do all the scoring for the Wings. Emmett twice and sub Nate once.
BRUINS 6 SHARKS 2
My favorite Elsey – sub Keith with the trick for the Bruins. Nick Piccolo with another two goal game. Sub Paul Vioalssi with the Bruins initial goal. Sean Kendall with a three assist game. Goalie Joe Polizzi with a twelve save game. Mark Micolo and sub Chris Ballach score for the Sharks, who have now lost their eighth straight game and are sitting comfortably in Davey Jone’s Locker.
