3-3 entering the final stanza – then Steve Lemieux snaps the tie for the Sharks win! He is not that flashy – all he does is put the puck in the net – John Poolton with two Sharks goals. Ian Axworthy also with a goal. Sub defenseman Tim Vanekoute with three helpers. Goalie Mark Micolo stood tall in nets. Montcon call up Paul Erickson scores twice and incurs a solo roughing minor penalty for the Habs. Billy Reiss scores 34 ticks into the game.

A very uncharacteristic Thursday, as we have another relatively low scoring game! Bruins sub goalie “John” Mayer blanks the top spot Hawks in a stellar effort! Top guns – Rob Rowling and Nate McNaughty do the honors for the Bruins. John Bean of the Bruins and Angelo Pizzo of the Hawks, both hit the box in tandem with roughing minor infractions.

Finally – a normal Thursday final score! The Wings win their third straight game, as they rack up five first period goals! As stated last week – playing some of the best hockey of his Sting career – Scott Chodun with the hat trick! Hmm. Why is that? Let’s delve deeper. Could it possibly be – that Scott is now shall we say, free of the trials and tribulations of marriage? Just saying! Trevor Knight with the deuce. Singles for Jeff Steiber and Jim Bulgarelli. Macomb County legend – “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the hat trick assist. Likewise for Chris Robillard. Goalie Billy Papciak with a 12 save game. It had to happen some time this season! Following only the way he can present it – Habs defenseman Brendan Brosnan, with a colorful in-between games pep talk, to fire up the French guys, as the Habs unceremoniously snap their nine game winless streak. Once again – Habs sub Paul “Night of the Living Dead” Erikson with a two goal game. Singles for Billy and Joey Reiss and Anthony Amato. Flyers – Sub Billy Degan(2) and Trevor Wrobel. The Flyers drop a deuce today.
