FINAL WEEK – PLAYOFFS

FLYERS   3    HABS   2

A Sam Cupp Championship game preview!  If next week’s game is anything like this game, it will not disappoint as both teams are chock full of talent!  It is rumored, but not yet verified since the source does not have the authority speak on this subject – but Habs good luck charm – Puck Bunny Sophia(See Picture Below) may be attendance next week!  Jim Bulgarelli puts the Habs up 2-1 with 7 minutes remaining in the game only to see the Flyers Scott Kostesich tie it up 30 seconds later and then Captain Trevor Wrobel buries the game winner four minutes after the Flyers tying goal!  Greg Stacey with the Habs initial marker.  Goalies – Brian Miller of the Flyers and Kris “King” Arthur of the Habs took turns swatting away shot after shot!

WINGS   7    BRUINS   3

The Wings score twice in the games first two minutes and the rout was on!  Zach Wagner with a two goal game.  Singles for Edie Sudzina, Terry Boyette , John Cornish and subs E. Wagner and Crisi(Also 3 Helpers).  Mark Micolo, Marty Papesh and sub Lance Kos score for the Bruins.

HAWKS   7    SHARKS   3

The Sharks needed to win out today and get a lot of help.  Didn’t happen!  Deuces wild for Steve Wink and Rob Rowling of the Hawks.  Singles for Mike Riddle, Paul Elsey Jr. and sub Muller(SH).  David Rupprecht scores twice for the Fish.  Waz Sarweh with their middle goal.

WINGS   8    SHARKS   4

Sporting four subs today, the Wings fill up the net and end their playoffs in fine fashion!  Winger Steve Bayagich with the hat trick!  John Cornish with the deuce.  Zach Wagner, Terry Boyette and sub Crisi(Again With 3 Helpers) with singles.  Mike Akiins(2), Waz Sarweh and Craig “The Evil Within” Bastuba score for the Sharks.  This was a penalty free game.

FLYERS   7    BRUINS   5

The Flyers sweep on the day, as the pride of liberal arts St. Norberts College, located on the banks of the Fox River in Wisconsin and a perennial D3 hockey powerhouse – “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with the hat trick!  Singles for line-mate Scott Kostesich(Also 3 Assists), Mike Kruger, Scott Leslie and Trevor Wrobel.  Hearing the chant “JUGS JUGS” on the Bruins bench every time sub Sean “Juggernaut” touches the puck, with a two goal game!  Mark Micolo and Brian Reath also score in this penalty free game.  It’s been a long and trying playoffs for the Bruins and affable deluged goalie Gordy Nadolsky, as the Bruins end the playoffs with a 0-9-1 record.  Ouch!

HABS   5    HAWKS   2

A little warmup for these bilingual guys, as longtime Hawk Brian Moore proudly wears the famed number nine of the Blue, Blanc et Rouge and dominates this contest with a two goal game.  See Picture below.  Jeff “Marine” Steiber also with a two goal game.  Jim Bulgarelli with their initial goal.  Rob Rowling once again scores twice for the Hawks as it was a carousel of positions and players.  It was like they were playing “Go Fish” on who plays where!  Brian Moore picks up a couple of roughing minors penalties as Hawks sub Muller also gladly participates.
