PLAYOFFS – WEEK THREE

FLYERS   6     HABS   5

A big game for the Frenchmen coming in, as they only trailed the top spot Flyers by a single point.  The Flyers had other ideas as they come out on top in this run and gun game!  Deuces wild for Mike Miller and Leigh High Valley call up Herkowitz.  Singles for Mike Nalepa and Danny Rea.  The Habs incur four penalties in the game and score three shorthanded goals!  Hmm – you know what I’m thinking.  Big Rob Rowling and sub Paul Elsila both with two goal games.  Joey Reiss with a top shelf marker.  Old rivals Mark Rogers(Cross Checking) and Kyle Lybecker(Slashing) get reacquainted and hit the box together.

HAWKS   4      SHARKS   1

Dar backstops the Hawks to the W with a strong effort in nets!  Brian Moore, Bob Giroux, Scott Mitchell and Dave Marcero score for the Hawks.  Ward Peterson with the lone Shark goal.

WINGS   4     BRUINS   1

Wings jump out to a four zip lead and defeat the Bruins.  Chad Wooten, Steve Bayagich, John McNeilly and returning from parts unknown, sub Ryan Boyette tally for the Wings.  Things got back to normal quickly for Ryan, as he also picks up a slashing minor inflation.  Bruins center Zach Wagner scores late in the game to wreck Kris Arthur’s shutout.

BRUINS   8      HABS   3

The Bruins get back on track as they demolish the Habs.  Zach Wagner scores his tenth, eleventh and twelfth goals of this playoffs.  But more importantly – he picks up his first assist of the playoffs – Lol! “Midtown” Mikey Brown with the deuce.  Singles for Mike Garlick, Rex Baker and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio.  Rob Rowling, Joey Reiss and sub Paul Elsila tally for the Frenchmen.

SHARKS    6     FLYERS   3

The Sharks were on the hunt this game as winger Greg Stacey scores twice.  Singles for Scott Leslie, Ward Peterson, Rich Artymovich and sub Kluz.  John Cornish and the Mikes – Nalepa and Miller record goals for the Flyers, as they remain in first place with two weeks of playoffs remaining.

WINGS   2     HAWKS    0

Goalie Kris “King” Arthur and his Court shutout the Hawks!  Kris Arthur was excellent in nets stymying the Hawks time after time!  John McNeilly and Kurt Salvatore score final period goals as the Wings sweep on the day.  Hawks goalie Dar also shined in nets!
