BRUINS 5 FLYERS 4
Oh boy – this was a barn burner! At the games end buzzer – Rob Rowling buries his second goal of the game to send his Bruins to a rousing W! Bruins players flooded the ice in celebration! Chris Lidstorm, Steve Bayagich and sub Tim Vaneckoute also score for the Bruins. Nate McNaughtry with the hat trick assist. To compensate his two goal game, Rowling also made two trips to the box, with chopping and high sticking minor penalties. The big guy was feeling a little frisky today eh? Rob “The Full Monty” Montgomery(2), Trevor Wrobel and Johnny “O” Ognanovski tally for the Flyers.
WINGS 1 HABS 1
Another well played game, as Tim Parker of the Habs and sub goalie – the affable Gordy Nadolsky of the Wings put on a goaltending clinic for the two fans in attendance. Scott Chodun with the Wings goal. Power play specialist Marty Papesh with the Habs marker, as Mike Brown watches in the box with one of his two stick infraction penalties.
HAWKS 5 SHARKS 4
Another entertaining contest as Northwest League legend Mike Riddle snaps the 4-4 tie with the game winner! Deuces wild for Brian Moore and Tyler “Duck Dynasty” Teneyck of the Hawks. Sharks – Steve Lemieux, John Poolton and subs Mark Rogers and Mrachina. This was a penalty free game.
FLYERS 5 HAWKS 4
Both teams on the other end of the spectrum of the final 5-4 score today. Johnny Ognanovski goes twine twice for the Flyers. Singles for Rob Montgomery and the Boyettes – Ryan and Dad Terry. The VRM line of “Angry” Joe Ventimiglio( Natural Hat Trick), Mike Riddle(1 & 1) and Brian Moore(4 Assists) total 9 points in the game in a losing effort.
BRUINS 4 WINGS 3
The Bruins win their seventh consecutive game as they edge the the hard working Wings. Once again, Rob Rowling snaps the tie with the final game winning goal. Nate McNaughtry, Andy Farah and Robbie Olmstead also score for the Bruins. Mike Brown, Scott Chodun and Jim Bulgarelli do the honors for the last place Wings, who are now winless in their past six contests.
SHARKS 3 HABS 2
Ron Nanney of the Sharks snaps a 2-2 tie with the game winning goal in the final stanza. Craig Bastuba and John Poolton also with Sharks goals. Goalkeeper Mark Micolo was stellar between the pipes! Mike “Padre” Napela and on a beautiful feed from Butch Ericson – Anthony Amato goes top shelf for the Habs.
