CONGRATS TO THE FIRST PLACE FLYERS, WHO EARN TWO POINTS ENTERING THE PLAYOFFS!

STAT LEADERS:

PENALTY MINUTES – MIKE “PADRE” NALEPA(THERE GOES HIS LIFETIME LADY BYNG), STEVE WINK AND SUB SHANE MCKIBBEN(WHO PLAYED JUST TWO GAMES) – 12

BRUINS   4    HAWKS   3

The Bruins play some defense in front of goalie Gordy Nadolsky and play a great game for the W!  Mark Micolo with a two goal game.  Singles for Marty Papesh and speedy sub Jimmy Degan.  Youngsters Anthony Amato and Paul Elsey Jr. score for the Hawks.  Rob Rowling with their first goal.  

HABS   2    FLYERS   1

1-1 entering the final stanza, then actor Robert Downey Jr. lookalike(See Picture Below) sub Billy Hagen goes five hole for the game winning goal!  Paul “The Walking Dead” Erikson with the Habs initial marker.  Goals against leader Kris “King” Arthur was simply outstaying in nets!  Tough as an old wallet – Jamie Smith with the lone Flyers goal.  Goalie Brian Miller with a very good game between the pipes.       

WINGS   7    SHARKS   1

Deuces wild for Zach Wagner and Jim Roble as the Wings run roughshod over the Sharks.  John Cornish(Also 3 Helpers), Steve Bayagich and still subbing for the injured Terry Boyette, who has been out for four weeks with an upper body injury – sub Rob Hergott.  Goaltender Dar with a light workload.  Penalty minute leader Mike Nalepa with the lone Shark goal.    

HAWKS   4    WINGS   4

You can always count on the big guy!  Rob Rowling ties the game up late 4-4 for the Hawks!  Mike Riddle, Anthony Amato and Bob “Larry” Giroux also with Hawks goals.  All over the ice – the leagues leading point getter and goal scorer Zach Wagner with the trick for the Wings!  Jim Roble with a single.    

SHARKS   7    FLYERS   4

Sharks sub Mr. Chris Ballach with a four goal game!  Singles for the Daves – West and Rupprecht and Brian Hamlin.  Mike Nalepa with the hat trick assist.  The first place Flyers, who are on a three game losing streak, albeit the last two weeks the games were of no consequence, receive  goals from Trevor Wrobel, Jamie Smith and sub Chuck Bowers.  

HABS   3     BRUINS   2

Making a big late season pushing, winning their past two doubleheaders, the French guys hold on for the W!  Saginaw Valley State Cardinal Billy Reiss with the Habs first two goals!  Great college by the way – my daughter graduated from there – Lol!  The son of the late former Detroit Tiger Dave Bergman with the game winning goal subbing for the Habs!  Once again goalie Kris Arthur shined in nets!  Rex Baker and former Detroit Red Wing Danny Dekeyser lookalike(See Picture Below) Marty Papesh tally for the men in yellow.  Affable puck stopper Gordy Nadolsky with a very strong game between the pipes!  A little incorrigible this game – Bruins forward Nick Piccolo with chopping and cross checking infractions.        

 

TWO NUMBER NINE JERSEYS ARE HOISTED IN THE

MADISON SQUARE GARDENS RAFTERS.

ANDY BATHGATE IS ONE OF THEM.

WHO IS THE SECOND NUMBER NINE?
