ATTENDED THE ABOVE CONCERT LAST WEEK.

BELOW IS A GREAT QUOTE FROM ICONIC GUITARIST JOE WALSH.

WHO STOLE THE SHOW BY THE WAY!

“I WAS HAPPIER IN THE 70’s WHEN I WAS 20, THAN I AM IN THE

20’s WHEN IM 70!

BUT THIS QUOTE MADE ME THINK.

HOW SPECIAL IS IT, THAT SOME OF US IN OUR 70’s, ARE STILL LACING UP THE SKATES!

ALBEIT – WE ARE NOT AS GOOD AS WE USED TO BE – BUT WE ARE STILL PLAYING THE GAME WE LOVE!

SHARKS    5    BRUINS   1

Total domination this game, as Sharks Captain Nate McNaughtry scores 56 ticks into the game to get the beach party started!  Sub Wagner with a two goal game.  The Mikes – Nalepa and Akins with singles.  Returning from parts unknown – sub goalie Mark Lusczki was superb in nets!  Nick Piccolo with the Bruins goal.  Mike “Padre” Nalepa puts a hold on Bruins winger Ward Peterson who takes high exception and incurs a roughing minor penalty, as they hit the box in tandem.

WINGS    5    FLYERS   4

Flyers jump out to a 4-2 first period lead only to see the Wings come back with a vengeance and steal the W!  Just a little warmup before this weekend’s Port Huron tournament in the 70 and over division – the ageless Terry Boyette goes five- hole to snap the 4-4 tie with the game winning goal!  Jim Roble with an even strength and shorthanded goal.  Zach Wagner(1 & 3) and Steve Bayagich round out the Wings scoring.  Longtime Sting member sub Tim Vaneckoute returns from a lengthy hockey coaching absence and doesn’t miss a beat as he scores twice!  Scott Kostesich and Rob Montgomery with singles.

HABS   8     HAWKS   2

The Habs score the games first three goals before the three minute mark of the first period and cruise to the W!  Paul Erikson and sub Brian Barker with deuces.  Singles for Billy Reiss, Jeff Steiber, Brian Moore and Larry “School Boy” Rowe.  Rob Rowling and sub Gibb tally for the Hawks.

FLYERS   4     BRUINS   1

The Flyers and goalie Brian Miller play a strong game and send the Bruins to a double dip defeat today.  Flyers – Jamie Smith, Rob Montgomery and the Scott’s Kostesich and Leslie.  Ward Peterson with the Bruins marker as they score only one goal a game today.  This was a penalty free game.

SHARKS    6     HAWKS   2

The Sharks were on a feeding frenzy today, as they total 11 goals in today’s DH!  Deuces wild for Nate McNaughtry and  Waz Sarweh.  Singels for Mike Nalepa and sub Wagner.  Sub goalie Mark Lusczki with another strong game between the pipes.  Paul Elsey with both Hawks goals.  Accumulating a solo roughing, cross checking and finally, hooking penalties – Steve Wink of the Hawks makes an early game exit to the locker room.

WINGS   3    HABS   1

The now second place Wings win their second consecutive doubleheader as the Godfather of goaltending – Dar – stands on his proverbial head and steals this victory for the Wings!  Zach Wagner goes twine twice and a blast from the point from Kurt Salvatore, recap the Wings scoring.  After racking up eight goals in game one – the Habs Jeff “Marine” Steiber with their lone goal in this game.

Who is the first Detroit Red Wing to score on a penalty shot in the playoffs?
