HAWKS
How can you argue when you have John Shelton as second line center? Dr. Nate McCoughtry as first line center will average his two goals a game. Wingers are a little suspect though. Love the defense. Erik Karlsson lookalike Marty Papesh, is one of the most underrated players in the league. I’ve never seen him make a mistake! Goaler Scott French returns to the league. Will the aging puck stopper be able to sustain in game two of the doubleheader?
BRUINS
The offense rocks with plenty of playmakers and goal scorers. The defense could be a possible Achilles heel for this team. With the proper support, goaltender Billy Schaugg can steal you games and shine in nets!
HABS
A typical Robbie Olmstead team. This team will score! Defense appears to be solid also. Sting rookie goaltender Mike Miller is the unknown to me on this squad.
SHARKS
Whoa! Billy Mac Jr. playing out! Just found someone someone to shut down Dr. Nate! This looks like the team to beat in my humble opinion! With “Downtown” Jimmy Brown, Mike Riddle and Jeff Ivory up front, this team has immense offensive ability. Sting rookie forward Chad Wooten is a question mark to me. Defense? They have Billy Mac Jr. – enough said! Solid in nets with “Smoking” Joe Polizzi. Then – we dig a little deeper! Brothers Brown on the same team!! There is precedent here! A Lou Suvak lead Hawks team and a Rod Duff lead Stars team have attempted this endeavor. It failed miserably both times! The hat trick?
FLYERS
The Kona Grill boys! I like the balanced offense. The defense is extremely athletic and offensive minded. The question here is can they stay home? History is on the negative side for that question! Dar in nets. Keep him in the right frame of mind and you have a top notch puck stopper!
WINGS
Excellent defense with the Boyette brothers as the anchor! Very nice offense which will put points on the board led by four goal a game master Rob Rowling. Kirk “Captain America” Larson is always tough in nets as the reigning goals against and shutout leader and Sam Cupp Championship goalie!
Who is the only NHL coach to win the Jack Adams Trophy(Coach of the Year) three
separate times?
He also did it with three different original six teams!
Name the teams also.
Pat Burns – Montreal, Toronto and Boston.
