HAWKS 4 SHARKS 0
Is there such a thing as a perfect game? This Sam Cupp Championship game may have been exactly that game for the victorious Hawks! The defensive minded Hawks smother the Sharks! The Sharks could not muster very many shots on net and fewer quality shots today! The MVP of the game goes to the entire Hawks team defensive effort! They were outstanding! Kirk “Captain America” Larson with the whitewash, as he was like the Maytag repair man today – the loneliest guy on the ice. Rob “Rickie” Middleton with the Hawks first two markers. Captain John “Shifty” Shelton and Joey Reiss with single goals. Later in the game the Sharks loaded a line trying to find some offense. Nothing worked for them today. This was the second consecutive Championship victory for the elated Mr. Reiss! Congrats Joe! On the other end of the spectrum. This is the third time Sharks forward Donnie Rivera has made it to the Championship game. Donnie is still waiting to have his name etched into the Sam Cupp! A good time was had by all following the game at Joe Kools! Great season boys!
