FLYERS 3 WINGS 1
A chippy affair as seven penalties in all were called. The story of this game was the shorthanded goal by Rob Rowling. Wings with a 5 on 3 man advantage and pressing the play in the Flyers zone. All of a sudden defenseman Pat Wosek finds penalty killer Rob Rowling at the Wings blue line, just hanging out waiting for the ultimate stretch pass, which he receives from Wosek and buries it! Pretty amazing! Rowling also with the game winning goal and four goals on the day. Mike Riddle with an empty netter. Goaler Billy Schaugg was outstanding between the pipes and also picked up an assist on the ultimate Rowling stretch pass goal. Mike “King of the Road” Miller with the Wings lone goal.
