SHARKS   4     FLYERS   2

The silver streak Lloyd Rogers leads the Sharks with a two goal game!  Singles for Billy Mac Jr. and sub “Vin” Scully.  Goaler Greg Sutter with a strong game in nets.  “Midtown” Mikey Brown with both unassisted Flyers goals on mad end to end rushes.

BRUINS   4    HABS   0

Bruins puck stopper Kris “King” Arthur was simply outstanding in this game, continually foiling the Frenchmen time after time for the well earned whitewash!  The loaded line theory works to perfection for the men in yellow, as John McNeilly(2 & 2), Mike Nalepa(1 & 3) and wearing his new yellow and black Bruins color gloves – Joey Reiss(1 & 2)  factor in all the Bruins scoring and total 11 points in the game!  No French highlights in this penalty free game.

WINGS   4     HAWKS   3

The Wings do all their scoring in period one and hold on for the W.  Mike T. Brown scores on a beautiful pass from Mike Miller, Mike Wilson and two breakaway goals from Steve Bayagich and Mike Miller round out the Wings scoring.  The sub laden Hawks(4 Subs) receive goals from Al Pyc and subs Mike Folster and Jeff Steiber.

SHARKS   4     BRUINS   3

Deuces wild for Billy Mac Jr. and “Scowling” Scott Leslie, as the Sharks end up the day tied with the Habs for the top spot in the standings and win their fifth consecutive game.  As in game one – the Bruins top line engineers all their scoring, as John McNeillly(2) and Mike Nalepa dent the twine.

HABS   6     HAWKS   3

Both teams were tied for first place entering this game.  Total domination by the Habs as they smoke the Hawks.  Scott Chodun and John Cornish both with two goal games.  Singles for Jeff Curran and Bryan Prentice.  Goaltender Dar made a spectacular flying glove save, robbing the Hawks player of a sure fire goal!  Hawks sub Paul “Stork” Erikson(2) and defenseman Brian Reath score for the Hawks, who are now winless in their past two doubleheaders.

FLYERS   6     WINGS    6

Defense what defense!  It was 5-4 Flyers entering the final period.  Reverting back to his junior days with the St. Clair Shore Saints – “Midtown” Mikey Brown with the hat trick for the Flyers and five goals on the day.  Big Rob Rowling with two shorthanded goals.  Eddie Sudzina also with a Flyers goal.  Center Brian Moore with the trick for the Wings.  Singles for line-mate Mike “King of the Road” Miller, Robbie Olmstead and Steve “With a Nod and A” Wink.
