IT WILL BE THE HAWKS AND THE SHARKS IN THE SAM CUPP CHAMPIONSHIP
GAME NEXT WEEK, AS THE SHARKS END UP IN FIRST PLACE DUE TO THE TIE BREAKER!
WHO DO I THINK IS GOING TO PREVAIL?
I GIVE A SLIGHT NOD TO THE SHARKS. JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR STAR POWER.
CAN THE THE TOP RATED FORWARD AND GOALIE – DR. NATE MCCOUGHTRY AND BILLY MAC JR
OVERCOME THE SUPREME BALANCE OF A VERY DANGEROUS HAWKS TEAM?
WE WILL SEE NEXT WEEK!
GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS!
MUDDY WILL HAVE COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS IN THE LOBBY FOR SELECT
INDIVIDUALS OF HIS CHOOSING!
SHARKS 4 HAWKS 1
The Sharks answer the bell in the marquee game of the night! Dr. Nate McCoughtry with the deuce. “Midtown” Mikey Brown and sub Chris Isola also with goals. Billy Mac Jr. was his usual stellar self in nets. Center Joey Reiss was the only Hawk to solve Billy Mac in this game.
FLYERS 5 HABS 5
A game of zero playoff consequence as the ten total goals indicate. Habs winger Dougie Roehl bangs in a rebound with their goalie pulled, for the last minute tie. Moncton call up Robbie Olmstead with a two goal game. Al Pyc and Larry Rowe also with French goals. Super sub Rob Rowling with four helpers. The Flyers receive two goals apiece from Mike Nalepa and sub Pat “The Beast” Wosek. Fellow sub Big Mike Folster with their final goal.
WINGS 4 BRUINS 2
The Wings play spoiler as they put s serious dent in the Bruins Championship game aspirations! Slick center Brian Moore scores his first goal 12 ticks into the contest. Moore ended up with the natural hat trick in period one! “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the Wings late final marker. Mike Miller and Craig Bastuba dent the twine for the Bruins.
FLYERS 8 BRUINS 3
The Bruins desperately needed a win and then receive some good news from the other two games. Didn’t happen on both ends! The Flyers take a season of frustration out on the Bruins, as they score five final period goals. Mike Riddle with the trick. Danny Rea with the deuce. Singles for Mike Nalepa, “Diamond” Dave Vorhes and sub Pat Wosek. Winger Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi with three helpers. Mike “King of the Road” Miller(2) and Eddie Sudzina with the Bruins goals.
HAWKS 5 HABS 2
The Hawks take care of business as Captain John “Shifty” Shelton takes the bull by the horns, as he records the hat trick! Rob “Rickie” Middleton and Steve “Mario” Lemieux with singles. Goal-keep Kirk “Captain America” Larson with a very solid effort in nets. As in game one – Al Pyc and sub Robbie Olmstead score for the Habs. Habs stalwart defenseman Pierre Dugas picks up a solo roughing minor penalty along with exchanging slashes with Steve Lemieux, as they hit the box in tandem.
WINGS 2 SHARKS 2
All the Sharks needed was a point in this game to qualify for the Championship game. A point they got! Dr. Nate McCoughtry with both Sharks goals. The Wings finished the playoffs very strong as they were undefeated in their final four contests. Same goal scorers as in game one for the Wings – Brian Moore and Jimmy Brown. The Wings considerably lowered their age in nets today, as 64 year old Scott French filled in admirably for Muddy! A very special shoutout goes out to Wings forward Terry Boyette, who picked up an assist in this game. On Monday, Terry turned 70! He has the same birth date as Bobby Orr. Only Terry is one year older. Keep it up Pepper!
