HAWKS    8    SHARKS   1

Brian Moore scores his first of two goals (Also 3 Helpers) 48 seconds into the game and the onslaught was on!  Having the time of his life playing forward – Marty Papesh also with a two goal game.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the trick.  Jeff Funk with a single.  Hawks sub net minder “Bruce” Sutter with a seven save game.  Donnie Riviera with the lone Shark goal in this penalty free game.

HABS   4    WINGS   2

Deuces wild for Rob Rowling and Italian import Sammy Antonucci as the Frenchmen defeat the Wings.  Mike Nalepa and Steve Bayagich were the Wings marksman.

FLYERS   4   BRUINS   3

In the Troy lobby before today’s games, Flyers goalie Kirk Larson sidles up next to me and predicts the last place Flyers are going to defeat the the first place Bruins!  Behind Mr. Larson’s Herculean efforts – that’s exactly what happened!  Larson was spectacular in nets!  Reverting back to the days of his youth – Jimmy “Jets” Galloway with the trick!  Sub Greg Kalvin with the Flyers initial goal.  The first two Flyers markers were of the power play variety.  Flyers defenseman Danny Rea was a force on D all game!  Mike Ala of the Bruins with two well placed goals – one low far side and the other low short side.  Center John McNeilly also scored for the Bruins who succumb to their second defeat of the season.

HAWKS   5    FLYERS   4

Captain John “Shifty” Shelton breaks a 4-4 tie with his second goal of the game in the games last minute, as the Hawks sweep their second consecutive doubleheader.  Brian Moore and Steve Lemieux with singles.  Marty Papesh with the hat trick assist.  Danny Rea with a two goal game for the Flyers.  Singles for Jimmy Galloway and sub Greg Kalvin.

HABS   5     SHARKS   2

The Habs sweep for the day as Mr. Rob Rowling records a huge four goal game!  Captain Robbie Olmstead with the Habs final marker.  Sharks sub Paul Erikson with both their goals as the Sharks remain winless in their last eight games.  The Sharks were minus their top two picks today, as Billy Mac Jr. had family obligations and the normally reliable, missing two of the last three weeks, “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with apparently another type of family issue.  Read in between the lines.  This was a penalty free game.

BRUINS  4   WINGS   1

Bruins puck stopper Dar was outstanding in nets today, thwarting the Wings time after time.  The Mikes – Ala and Garlick, John McNeilly and Nate McCoughtry score for the top spot Bruins.  Mike Nalepa with a beautiful backhand top shelf goal for the Wings.
