John Zuccarini with the trick leads the Wings to the W.  Sting rookie Chuck Mouraine with the deuce.  Mark Weiss with the games final goal.  Playmaker Gary Enmark with his first career three assist game.  Ronnie Meltsner, Pat Collins and the ageless Joe White tally for the Stars.

BRUINS   1   LEAFS   1

A goaltending battle between Bruins sub Dar and Leafs puck stopper Brian Miller.  Sub Al Pyc dents the twine for the Bruins.  Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel reciprocates for the Leafs.  No scoring in the final stanza.

HAWKS   7    HABS   4

The Hawks run roughshod over the Frenchmen.  Jimmy George with a huge 4 goal game!  Jimmy “Boog” Powell with a two goal game.  Elusive skating Steve Orr with a single.  Jim Chapie with 3 helpers.  Big Ben Haynes(2), Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins and Jeff “Dick” Tracy score for the Habs.  Orr and Jerry Frankel of the Habs, get into a slashing duet and hit the box in tandem.

HAWKS   3    LEAFS   1

The Hawks sweep for the day to keep the Leafs winless in the season.  Red hot Jimmy George with the game winner.  Rick Batchelder and Rob “Rifleman” Duncan with singles.  Goaler “Sugar” John Marchin was solid between the pipes.  Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich with the Leafs goal as they tally two goals in today’s doubleheader.

WINGS   4   HABS   1

“Enough of this passing the puck stuff” Gary Enmark says, as he buries two goals in the game.  Chuck Mouraine and Mike Ala also with goals.  Recalled from parts unknown –  sub Kirk “Captain America” Larson was stellar in  nets.  “Gentleman” Don Courtley with the Habs marker.  Chuck Mourine(Roughing) and “Bruising” Joe Grusling(Body Checking) pick up minor penalties together.  Ben Haynes voiced his displeasure and picks up a two minute unsportsmanlike penalty.

STARS   4   BRUINS   3

The top spot Stars score all their goals in the initial period, in a six minute time frame to secure the win.  Mark Smyth, Tommy Trice, Ronnie Meltsner and with the game winner – Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins score for the Stars.  Sub goaler Stopper was exemplary in nets.  Bruins – Brian Belloli, Dave “Hammer” Arsenault and sub AL Pyc.
