WINGS 4 BRUINS 2

Stars down 1 zip entering the final stanza. Then the Higgins’s duo take charge, as Eddie and sub J. Higgins find the back or the net for the top spot Stars. Ronnie Meltsner with the game winning goal. Stars puck stopper Mike Mostyn with his usual solid game in nets.

LEAFS 3 HAWKS 2
Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan scores his second goal of the game in the final stanza, as the Leafs win their first game of the playoffs! John Zuccarini with the Leafs initial marker. Goaltender Stopper was excellent between the pipes. Mike Ala and Rockford call up Kevin Mahon tally for the Hawks.

STARS 1 LEAFS 0
The Stars sweep for the day, as their win their fifth consecutive game of the playoffs. Sniper Ronnie Meltsner scores with under 4 minutes left in the game to break up a tremendous goaltending duel between Mike Mostyn and Stopper. Both goalies were on their game today! No Leafs highlights in this penalty free game.

WINGS 2 HAWKS 0
Don’t look now – but the revitalized Wings are only a single point from the second spot in the playoff standings! Another goaltending spectacular, as Superman amd “Sugar” John Marchin refused to blink, until Andy “Joe” Perri finds the back of the net for the Wings, with a low shot with just under 3 minutes to play! Ben Haynes ices it with an empty netter. The Wings celebrate had shrimp in their locker room today from last weeks whitewash and obviously will also next week with Superman’s shutout 232 in this game. The Hawks drop their second doubleheader in a row.

HABS 2 BRUINS 1
The Frenchmen march off to the box four times in this game, to zero times for the Bruins, but still manage to pull out the victory. Chris Zanke with the game winning French goal. Sub “Sam” Cook croons in the first Habs marker. Dougie Roehl with the lone Bruins goal as he converts on the power play as the Bruins drop a deuce today.
