BRUINS   4    HAWKS   1

The Bruins score twice in each period and abscond the W behind the steady puck stopping efforts of goalie Mike Schlimgen.  Sub Egrin goes twine twice for the Bruins.  Singles for Steve Lemieux and Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins.  Hawks sub Hachigan with their marker.  This was a penalty free game.

HABS   3     FLYERS   1

Habs go up 3 zip and only allow a late game goal for the victory.  Don Courtley, Robbie Porter and Jimmy Klimkowski do the honors for the French guys.  Staying on his incredible hot streak – Habs goaler Bobby Rutkowski with a stellar game in nets!  Doug “Jeff” Beck strums in the lone Flyers goal in another penalty free game.

SHARKS   7    WINGS   5

This was a barnburner!  Game tied 3-3 after period one, as the Sharks prevail in the final period.  Deuces wild for Ben Haynes and John “The Little Ball of Hate” Perini of the Sharks.  Singles for the above pictured Jim “Vin” Scully, Steve Dietrich and sub General Robert E. Lee(Also 4 Helpers).  Bob “Bugsy” Watson scores twice for the Wings.  Singles for Ronnie Meltsner, Randy Dunaj and sub Eidt.

WINGS   5    HAWKS   3

The Wings put up a five spot again – but this time for a W!  Dougie Roehl and Ronnie Meltsner both with two goal games.  Sub Eidt with the game winner.  Hawks sub Hachigan with a two goal game and Billy Hagen with their middle marker.  Another penalty free game.

HABS   2    BRUINS   2

A well played game as both veteran goaltenders Mike Schlimgen and Bobby Rutkoske excel between the pipes!  “Black” Jack Priauix and sub Ergin do the honors for the Bruins.  Harley enthusiasts Jeff Tracy(See Picture Below) and Don Courtley with the Habs goals.

SHARKS   4     FLYERS   4

The Flyers capture their first point of this young season behind the two goal effort of center Robert Stempian.  Subs Ken Debus and Scott Leslie also score.  Big Ben Haynes scores twice for the Sharks.  Singles for Doug Wargo and Dave Debrincat.

 

 

The last time the Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup was 1967 – black and white TV and Esso commercials superimposed on the TV screen.
Toronto defeated Montreal.
Name me the two HOF goalies on each team!
