A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO FLYERS CAPTAIN RYAN O’ROURKE FOR HOSTING

LAST NIGHTS POSTGAME’S EXTRAVAGANZA!

WE HAVE A THREE WAY TIE FOR FIRST PLACE – HABS, FLYERS AND WINGS!

WINGS   5    HABS   3

The hard working Wings convincingly snap the Habs six game undefeated streak!  Cheap Trick guitarist sub Rick Neilson with even strength and empty net goals. Singles for Curt Lesnau, Al Pyc and Tampa Rays pitcher Shane McClanahan lookalike(See Picture Below) sub Ken Debus.  Sammy Bonanno scores twice for the Habs and Jim Chapie with their initial goal.  Robbie Porter with the hat trick assist.  The Habs will be minus for the rest of the season two thirds of their top line – Don Courtley and Mike Ala – due to serious upper body surgeries.  Get well boys!

FLYERS   3     BRUINS   1

How does this happen?  The Bruins incur a “Too Many Men” penalty on the games first shift?  Flyers sub Paul Violassi made them pay with his first of two goals!  Mike Fox with their final goal.  Goalie Mike Haines had a relatively light workload with a 12 save game.  Joe Plati with the lone Bruins marker.

SHARKS   4     HAWKS   0

Goalie Brian Miller blanks the Hawks with several stunning saves!  Sleepy eyed Todd Schurman scores twice for the Sharks.  Dave Debrincat and Bruce Gooel with singles.  No Hawks sightings.

WINGS   5     BRUINS   3

The hodgepodge Wings play with six subs today and complete the sweep!  Deuces wild for subs Rick Neilson and Pat Collins(Also 3 Helpers).  Fellow sub Bill Murdock goes top shelf with an absolute rocket!  Wings sub goalie Paul Kaczmarek was outstanding in both games today!  It happened again – same as last week in game two!  Wings forward Curt Lesnau gets tripped in the first period and was unable to return the game.  Steve Lemieux scores twice for his Bruins.  Ronnie Meltsner with their first goal.  Major frustration is seeping in on this Bruins team, that is now winless in their past nine contests!  Derogatory chirping could be heard on their bench directed at their own players and in the game’s final seconds one of their players cheap shotted a Wings player from behind.  Mama bear is upset!

HABS   3    SHARKS   1

Robbie Porter, John Perini(EN) and sub Mike Lawson do the honors for the Frenchmen.  Goalie Dave Gaskey was stellar in nets!  Todd Schuman with the lone Shark goal.

FLYERS   4     HAWKS   2

The Flyers sweep on the day as the Hawks descend in the other direction.  The energetic Steve Orr with the Flyers final two goals.  Ryan O’Rourke and sub Paul Vioalssi(SH) with singles.  Billy Hagen and Robert Stempian score for the Hawks.
