Scoreless entering the final stanza, then the Habs Sammy Bonanno scores three minutes into the final period, followed by a last minute insurance goal from Kenny Wilkins. Goalie Dave Gaskey with the well earned whitewash! The Frenchmen played with just nine players this game. Sharks goalie Brian Miller with an outstanding game in nets in a losing effort! This was a penalty free game.
FLYERS 2 WINGS 1
Detroit Tigers pitcher Andrew Chafin lookalike(See Picture Below) Ryan O’Rourke with both Flyers goals! Goalie Mike Haines was stellar in nets! The speedy Jimmy George scores a minute into the game for the Wings and unfortunately for them – that was it! Superman was stellar in nets!
HAWKS 3 BRUINS 1
Robert Stempian goes twine twice for the Hawks. Keith Foucher with the game winning goal. Goalkeeper Bobby Rutkoske with his usual strong game in nets! Bruins sub Bob Watson with their lone goal.
FLYERS 6 SHARKS 0
Five first period goals fuel the Flyers to the lopsided victory! Chuck Mouraine was all over the ice as he recored the hat trick! Singles for Pat Berry, Paulie Polizzi and sub Ken Debus. Goalie Mike Haines with the shutout as he allowed only one puck past him today! Rough going for the Sharks today, as they were swimming upstream and were blanked both games! Flyers sub Ken Bebus with a solo roughing minor penalty.
HAWKS 5 WINGS 2
Da Hawks open up a 3-0 first period lead and defeat the Wings, who lose a deuce today. Adam Godard scores twice for the Hawks. Singles for Billy Hagen, Robert Stempian and sub Matt Linnel. Sub Chuck Bowers with a three helper game. Jimmy George and Doug “Jeff” Beck tally for the Wings in this penalty free game.
HABS 3 BRUINS 1
Playing with a full compliment of players in game two – the Habs do what they do – win! John “The Little Ball of Hate” Perini, sub Matt Lawson and Robbie Porter(EN) do the honors for the Frenchmen as they sweep on the day. Goalie Dave Gaskey with another excellent game in nets! Joe Plati scores for the Bruins who drop a deuce, as they only score a goal a game today.
