WEEK THREE – PLAYOFFS

BRUINS    5    WINGS   1

The Bruins open up a 2-0 lead within a 16 second first period span and dominate this contest!  Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins with a two goal game.  Singles for Dougie Roehl, Steve Lemieux and Wayne State alumnus Bo Altherr.  Appearing from parts unknown, sub goalie Rick “Ticker” Chauvin with a solid game between the pipes!  Mark Smyth with the lone Wings goal in this penalty free game.

HABS  2    FLYERS   2

A preview of the Sam Cupp Championship game?  Very possible.  Both teams play playoff hockey as the score indicates!  Goalies Mike Haines and Dave Gaskey shine in nets!  Pat Berry And Russ Kemp tally for the Flyers.  Sam Bonanno(SH) and sub Matt Lawson score on back to back shifts.

SHARKS   4   HAWKS   2

A new Michigan sting record was set this game!  As Hawks goalie Bobby Rutkoske was getting ready to enter the ice pregame, opposing goalie Brian Miller noticed something was wrong with his skate.  So the Hawks started the game with a defenseman in the net.  Then a reinforcement showed up from the “A” pickup skate until Rutkoske eventually returned with a fixed skate.  Now the Sting record.  General Robert E. Lee scored on each individual goalie for a hat trick!  Sharks sub John Zucchini with the game winning goal.  Power forwards Kenny Perko and Jeff Morton score for the Hawks.

HAWKS   5   WINGS   3

With their goalie back in the nets, the Hawks defeat the Wings.  Looking twenty years younger – Jeff Morton with a 1 & 3 game and a solo roughing minor penalty to boot!  Sub Mike Garlick with the deuce.  Al Phipps and Billy Hagen also with goals.  Speedster Jimmy George with an even strength and power play goal.  Paul Giles with the Wings final goal.

FLYERS   5    SHARKS   4

An entertaining contest as the second place Flyers defeat the Sharks.  Chuck Mouraine with the deuce.  Singles for Ryan O’Rouke, Mike Fox and NFL Network anchor Will Selva lookalike(See Picture Below) Kevin Maguire.  Rob Lee(2), Jimmy Klimkowski and sub John Zucchini tally for the Fish.

HABS  3    BRUINS   1

The playoff undefeated French guys just keep on rolling behind the two goal effort of Sammy “The Bull” Bonanno!  Line-mate Jin Chapie with their insurance goal.  Eddie Higgins with the Bruins marker in this penalty free game.
