First and foremost the league would like to extend it’s sincere get well wishes to Sharks defenseman Chris Zanke, who experienced a very serious medical incident during last week’s game!  Get well Chris!  Brian Belloli with the trick for the men in yellow.  Jim Chapie and Rick Batchelder with singles.  Goaler Bobby Rutkoske with a strong game in nets.  Sharks subs J. Higgins and “DeBus” DeBus with their goals.  Debus and Bruins defenseman Randy Debeul both agree to currently dislike each other and hit the box with roughing minor penalties.

HAWKS   3     HABS   3

The Habs go up three times by a goal, only to see the Hawks claw back each time for the tie.  Left defenseman Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins with a strong game on D and a two goal game to boot!  Jeff “Dick” Tracy with the Habs initial goal on a great cross goal crease pass from Cam Lawrence.  Billy Hagen(2) and Kenny Perko tally for the Hawks who also received excellent goaltending from Sting rookie sub Al Rice.

FLYERS   3    WINGS   3

Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel ties the game up with the goalie pulled for the Flyers.  Steve Orr and Ryan O’Rourke also score for the Flyers.  The newly formed GIP line of Jimmy George(1 & 1), sub Chris Isola(1 7 2) and JP(1 & 1) do all of its teams scoring.  Both sub goalies Rick “Ticker” Chauvin and Smyth were strong between the pipes.

The Bruins topple the first place Flyers behind the two goal game of Chuck Moruaine.  Rick Batchelder with the power play final Bruins goal.  Goalie Bobby Rutkoske with another great effort in nets as the Bruins sweep on the day.  Robert E. Lee and sub Jack Priauix dent the twine for the Flyers.  Flyers defenseman Pete Gibb with a solo minor roughing penalty.

SHARKS   4     HAWKS   3

The Sharks take an early 3-0 first period lead and you could see smiles began to appear on the Sharks bench in anticipation of the apparent blow-out.  But – the Hawks roar back and the first period ends in a 3-3 tie!  Sharks sub J. Higgins scores the only final period goal for the Sharks W.  Sharks sub Debus with a two goal game.  Ronnie Meltsner with the Sharks first goal.  Left defenseman Glenn Pareskevin with the hat trick assist.  Billy Hagen records another two goal game for the Hawks.  Curt Lesnau with their final marker.

WINGS   4    HABS   2

The Wings receive goals from JP, Jimmy George, Bo Altherr and sub Chris Isola as they defeat the Habs.  Sub net-minder Smyth was stellar in nets.  Mike Ala and Kenny Wilkins with the Habs markers in this penalty free game.
