Goalie Mike Haines leads his Hawks to his league leading fourth shutout of the season!  Captain Billy Hagen, Kenny Perko and leading goal scorer Todd Hachigian tally for the first place Hawks.  No Bruins highlights.

“Gentleman” Don Courtley scores twice in the initial period to lead the French guys to a convincing W!  Kenny Wilkins and Jeff Tracy with singles.  Fully recovered from his Florida partying after winning the Stanley Cup – “The Bob” Rutkoske was outstanding between the pipes!  Steve “Honey Badger” Orr with the lone Wings marker in this penalty free game.

This was a wild one as Dave Debrincat scores twice for the Fish.  Singles for John “The Little Ball of Hate” Perini, Al Sparks, Sammy Bonanno and sub Eidt.  League points and assist leader Robert Stempian with the trick for the Flyers.  Frank Pedwaydon with the deuce.  Sub Ken Debus with a four helper game.

HABS   5   BRUINS   4

The Habs sweep on the day.  Deuces wild for the Mikes – Ala and Harke.  Don Courtley also with a Habs goal.  Paul Vioalssi scores twice for the Bruins.  Singles for Eddie Higgins and Steve Lemieux.  This was a penalty free game.

SHARKS   5    WINGS   3

The Sharks win a deuce today as the Wings drop their third consecutive game and descend out of first place.  Sharks – Dave Debrincat, John Zuccarini, Marine Jim Scully, Al Sparks and the best worst hockey player in the league – Doug Wargo.  That is a compliment!  Sub Eidt with a four assist game.  Dave Speiss, Ronnie Meltsner and sub Al Pyc tally for the fading Wings.

Flyers sub Ken Debus ties the contest up with the goalie pulled for the tie!  Frank Pedwaydon with their first goal.  Brian Belloli and Todd Hachigan were the marksman for the Hawks.  Goals against leader Mike Haines of the Hawks and Brian Miller of the Flyers excelled in nets!
